Können wir bitte aufhören, so zu reden, als trügen ausschließlich queere Menschen so etwas intimes und irgendwie schmuddeliges wie sexuelle Orientierungen und Geschlechtsidentitäten in sich?
Alle anderen haben auch sexuelle Orientierungen und Geschlechtsidentitäten, und sie reden weiterhin ganz legal und selbstverständlich an den Schulen darüber. Und überall sonst auch. Vor Kindern, vor Erwachsenen, dauernd und überall.
Schlimm genug, wenn nichtqueere Medien so etwas schreiben, aber ich verstehe nicht, wie queere Medien das unkritisch übernehmen können. Das ist pures Othering.

I have to think that Rhodes both thinks that his statements in the hearing will be a call to action for like minded people, and, a false belief that #Trump will be elected in 2024 and then pardon him. My guess is that Trump views Rhodes as a looser for failing to complete the coup and would let Rhodes rot in prison.
And rotting in prison is what Rhodes deserves.
BTW, I really don't think that Trump will be elected in 2024. I doubt that he'll be the GOP candidate. I think Biden will be handily reelected. The country is sick of the extremist GOP policies and the #Florida model.
