Kupiłem za grosze bardzo fajne szkło do mojej starej Minolty. "Pompka" Tokina 80-200 za 40 zł to jak darmo. ALE widzę, że wewnętrzna soczewka jest leciutko zmatowiała, co niestety wyraźnie widać też podczas robienia zdjęć (fot 1: "czysta" 135, fot 2: ten zoom, ustawiony też na 135, robione komórką przez wizjer, ale widać ocb). Nigdy nie miałem takiej sytuacji, więc pytanie, czy jest sens to oddawać do czyszczenia (i czy polecacie jakiś serwis w Warszawie), jakie to mogą być koszty, czy reklamować u sprzedawcy (wolałbym tego uniknąć)? Co radzicie?

W niedzielę, dosłownie tuż przed 17.00 znalazłem w Ostrawie jakieś przypadkowe miejsce do zaparkowania w pobliżu centrum. Nie żeby to był jakiś wyczyn, chcę Wam tylko naświetlić okoliczności. Pojechałem tam tylko i wyłącznie po to, żeby pofotografować.

Wysiadłem z samochodu i patrzę... a przede mną stoi WIELKA księgarnia i co ważne, ona była otwarta! Wyobrażacie sobie coś takiego w Polsce? W niedzielę!?

Co było zrobić? To był znak, a nawet ZNAK!, że muszę tam poszukać jakichś albumów Czeskich fotografików.

Szybki telefon do żony, że doznałem objawienia i dostałem zgodę na zakupy :D

Okazało się, że trafiłem nawet na coś ciekawszego - teksty uzupełnione zdjęciami.

Fish Crow

I should state that I am not 100% certain about this one. Fish Crows (Corvus ossifragus) and American Crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos) are notoriously hard to distinguish. The most reliable ways are either by their calls (American Crows give a full-throated "Caw!" while Fish Crows give a more nasal call).or when they stand side-by-side (Fish Crows are noticeably smaller than American Crows). Or through DNA sequencing. Morphometric information like plumage or color are unreliable as there is overlap and regional variation. In this case, although I didn't hear a call from this bird, Fish Crows are usual dwellers in this saltmarsh. Unfortunately, Fish Crows are becoming more prominent even in mixed flocks as the avian flu seems to be more virulent for American than Fish Crows.

Fish Crows are black throughout, but their feathers can have a blue or purple sheen under the right light.

... and an adult Black-crowned Night Heron, same pond as the juvie posted previously. Two winters ago (2021-2) into the spring there were a good number of juvies and a few adults overwintering at this site. Last winter there were very few and I didn't see any at all for a while until a short time ago. I'm glad to see some are back.

Adult Black-crowned Nght Herons have a black cap and back and light gray wings fading to white on the chest and underbelly. Legs are pale yellow and beak is black.

This Ruddy Turnstone appears to be building a nest on this Long Island, NY, beach. Ruddy Turnstones, described as resembling calico cats when in breeding plumage, are among the most northerly nesting birds, making and raising babies up in the high Arctic around the world, and then making uber long distance treks down to South America, Africa, Australia and the indo-Pacific.

The Ruddy Turnstone in breeding plumage (as here) has the color pattern of a calico cat: mottled red-browns, black and white. This one appears to be building a nest.

Male Black-bellied Plover in breeding plumage. Compare with the photo of an adult in non-breeding plumage. Loss of foraging areas in the high Arctic due to climate change is of major concern for these birds.

Male Black-bellied Plover with its jet black belly, chest, throat and face, and white cap, neck and posterior belly, and checkered brown-red, black and white back.

Off-season adult Black-bellied Plover lacks the black coloration and the back is a more subdued mottled pattern.
