I'm thinking that I'll make a new #Debian spin distro that's designed to make #Framework laptops work as they do on Ubuntu after my certification exams (in about 12 days). Curious if anyone would be interested. I'll post the work to my codeberg. I've done something like this before with Dells for a client.

Even better #svelte is a compiler and embraces this fact (unlike #react) leading to small and efficient code delivered to the client, when it is even delivered in the first place

A cool but taxing thing about not using #FastAPI, #Django, or #Flask and building your own #framework for #Python (lovingly tabbed #JenkWorx ATM) is working with os.environ and sys.stdin
Everything from requested form info to cookies and signature headers lie in there. It's not hard, but almost every Google response to my query was "Just use Flask.. it's easier than writing your own".. No shit #StackOverflow guy - but easy was never the point! 😂
My barebones #Fediverse client moves forward!
My first test of the repairability of my #Framework laptop came recently when I spilled some wine on it when closed 🙄 fairly typical. It actually worked fine but apparently some got into the usb-c port and it wouldn't charge.
However all the ports are swappable in the Framework so I just bought another one and popped it in. This counts as a repair to me as otherwise I would have had to take it to a shop to have the port replaced.
Please someone make a split programmable keyboard for the Framework 16 inch including a thumb cluster!
I am almost tempted to get one of those new #framework laptops just so I can play around with designing custom modules for it. (When it comes out)

Honestly I love the new 16" and definitely going to save up for my next new laptop to be a Framework. It's just so customizable and less e-waste.
An attachable discrete GPU might be enough to get me to swap in a 16" #Framework laptop to replace my MacBook Pro.

The new @frameworkcomputer updates look great! It makes sense to expand the lineup to include a more powerful 16" model, and the back module is a super cool way to tackle graphics.
I am bummed that the new Framework Laptop 13 display retains the same non-integer-scaling HiDPI resolution, though… that's literally my only complaint with the laptop.

One of the cooler things about @frameworkcomputer is that you don’t feel bad at all even if you bought a laptop a month before the new stuff gets announced. You just cherry pick and upgrade at some point

* I love the packaging. The box shell around the actual PC weighs ~500g(!!)

* EVERYTHING IS LABELED!!
