After finishing the vegetable garden this morning I love to show it to my loved ones. Pretty proud of what I have done and how it looks so far. In a little over two months I took out all the weeds l, I pre-seeded veggies, I put compost, made a little bench for the breaks, and put the seeds and plants in.

The one male pheasant, who is still coming to the garden every day, has become very confident and trusting. He walks up to me when he sees me and comes running when I offer food.

Almost time for a major planting session with students. Then it's speech writing, picking up the finished moto, arbor day dog and pony, contractor quotes, volunteer training, and finally a last small planting session with another set of students...

This is supposed to be a 4 day weekend from work for me? 😂

Oh, and I've got to do the first chop of the season on the lawn at some point in all of that.

Internal temperature of my compost heap this morning, after cold nights and much rain, just over 45°C. Happy with this at this stage.
