A decidedly gothic debut. You could easily mistake the instrumental parts for early Cocteau Twins, Siouxie and the Banshees or the Cure. Some of Brendan Perry's vocals could be on a Joy Division album.
Yet they're clearly heading in a different direction on some tracks...directions that would bear fruit later as they forged a more singular path.
normally, halloween is all of october for me (because i need a lot of halloween).
but this year, i'm extending halloween into september because i need EVEN MORE. so these last two weeks of september are *also* halloween.

i finished season 1 of "hozuki no reitetsu" and am now watching the OVA episodes that came between season 1 and 2.
they are all really funny, but my favorite is episode 3, which is all about cursed art coming to life. it includes the legendary scene in the screenshot below.

The legal and admin side of this house move stuff is going surprisingly smoothly, touch wood.
What's problematic is the chain that's forming. We're hoping the folks buying ours get a first time buyer / renter and we're hoping the folks selling us to find an empty house to buy. It's possible! But I'm not holding my breath.

I shared a fun video of goths in 1984 and a friend who’s young enough not to have been born then said “I feel like a lot of subcultures are influenced by queer people trying to find ways to be themselves in public”.
