The older I get, the more I seem to believe that governments existence is to hurt people. Whether that be their own people or people they've never met, things like trade embargo, and sanctions aimed at changing regimes actually hurt people at the bottom.
Then there's the cronyism, 'rules for thee, but not for we'. Most country's major industries and financial companies are owned by either a handful of families/corporations and completely change resistant until a bloody conflict arises and disposes of them. And those in power/government are either part of those companies/families and profit or tolerate their existence.

Instead, the public schools groom them to take orders from authority and train them to work minimum wage servant jobs with no thought of promotion or advancement.
Solution? Local government only and community run schools with outside cooperation and free thought exchanges.

I may have been a victim of attempted #grooming: When I was 13, a random dude in his 20s approached me on the street and asked if I wanted to play online games with him. He told me his nick too. It didn't feel uncomfortable back then because it happened in broad daylight at a plaza. I never proceeded to play with him because I wasn't interested.
Of course, I'm pretty damn privileged to have this on my top list of unpleasant encounters with strangers, considering I always walked to school in a city, often in the dark.

The vet prescribed Gabapentin to give to the cats beforehand, b/c 2 out of 3 are Spicy Bois at the vet. So we also did the vet a courtesy by trimming all the cat claws—last time, the vet ppl took it upon themselves to trim Loki’s claws b/c he gets swipey, and they were dangerously short. :cwy:
Anyway, that’s the first time we were able to trim claws without any loud protestations or struggles. 10/10 highly recommend drugs for cats.
