Some additions & modifications to the guitar corner... the Vox has found a home & I got my hands on an old but serviceable M-Audio Fast Track audio interface for free, so I can find out if that's something I'll like to have at my disposal.
Also, added a shelf (another freebie; somebody threw away a lovely oak tabletop & I have a saw 😁) for all the bits & bobs & the laptop when it's in play & put the amps on angled foam blocks - my neighbors will be happy 😝

We have broken out in #guitars again as a new member of the household is cleaning out his old apartment. He got them from someone who owed him money and plans to give them to his kids. These are Fazley instruments and so presumably entry-level, but I do want to try them out and see how they sound. The small amp is a bass amp, also a Fazley.
My head hurts trying to figure out the most practical, logical way to set up my future #pedalboard & #amplifiers. I'm going to have to grab an old fashioned sheet of paper & a pen to draw this out. Lol
I've got a rackmount noisegate+compressor & gEQ.
I also need to combine mult. #bass #guitars (diff tunings etc) into # cable then split L/C/R; W/"D"/W.
Will have a buffer, perhaps a few b/c it'd need to be after the fuzz FoA & also in the FXloops.

Question for the #musicians out there who are recording #guitars on a Mac - what software do you use?
I have a basic version of Ableton Live 11, and also Garage Band now with a Scarlett 2i2, but I really want to film a video from a webcam, then have my #guitar overlayed on top of a backing track.
Pro Tools Artist doesn't support Video tracks. I think Logic does.
I'm looking for something super easy because I'm not planning on releasing to anyone but friends and family. Might post a few on my socials in an anonymous sort of way.

OK, I think the verdict is in 🎸 ✅
Just spent maybe an hour and a half at the shop playing these bastards (presumably to the dismay of both staff & other customers) & I have to say, there's no contest - no slam on the Baum objectively speaking; it's a great guitar, but I simply play the Fender better...
Of course, with the Wingman on sale that leaves my preference on the more expensive side - but at least I know what I'm saving up for 💰

how does one fix the "out of tune on open strings, in tune while fretted" problem with G and B strings?
i've had this issue for a decade+ and I've never been able to figure out how to fix it since it seems so specific. I know that every guitar is different, but idk that seems like something *I'm* doing wrong.
tuning it to standard doesn't work, tuning to itself doesn't work.

I am still over the moon about the tone I’m getting out off that cheap Art & Lutherie acoustic guitar I found yesterday. I traded a few old guitar pedals I hadn’t been using, plus $27, for that thing, and it makes my 000-28 Martin sound like it’s stuffed with wet socks. It’s making me consider selling the Martin and getting a Waterloo or something.

Been working on a cover of Bryan Adams song Run To You and have been struggling a lot with the guitar sound. All of the Les Paul’s have way too much low end & sound really muddy. The amount of EQ required to “fix” this is ridiculous. The Strat actually works really well. So the takeaway is that a $150 Squier works better here than a $6000 Gibson.
Now I know why Bryan plays a Strat.🤔🙄😬😂
