My answer:
#Joan is the #Source shard of #Aphrodite, the Ancient who sat on the Seat of #Deudalaphon in during the #Sundering. Another of her shards, ascended as an #Ascian by Emet-Selch, serves as Deudalaphon in the present day.
Deudalaphon's main role was to craft and modify as needed the social norms that all #Ancients would follow, including designing the robes and masks that all Ancients had to wear to ensure uniformity among their population, thereby allowing the Ancients to focus on intellectual pursuits instead of on fanciful fashion statements.
Aphrodite had two children, #Deimos and #Phobos, with her husband #Ares. Ares was a military leader among the Ancients, and while he was away from #Amaurot, Aphrodite pursued an ongoing extramarital affair with #Hephaestus, the Ancient who later became the #unsundered Ascian #Lahabrea.
When #Venat retired from her role as #Azem, Aphrodite put a great deal of effort into getting Deimos appointed to the Seat of Azem. Emet-Selch ultimately put his vote towards Venat's student, a close friend of his, leading Aphrodite to develop a deep resentment towards both Venat and her young student, and she has held this grudge against #Hydaelyn and Azem for eons.

Got back into playing Hades again recently. I love this game but got tired of getting killed and not making any progress. I knowe that dying is just part of roguelikes, but I got to a point where it didn't feel fun....so I switched to the game's easy mode/God Mode and I'm having a great time again. If this hadn't existed, I wold have given up or modded the game....
I guess my point is that playing games on easy or modding them to make them easier or more fun is always okay, at least in singleplayer games. Fuck all the gatekeepy bullshit.
Also, the games looks amazing on my CRT.

This weekend I did all of the secret stuff in #30XX. It's a phenomenal game and while I enjoyed unlocking the true ending by finding all of these odd things during playthroughs, it was a mistake to lock all of the story progression behind hidden challenges. #Hades, IMO, is still the gold-standard when it comes to narrative progression in a roguelite. I love how it contextualizes multiple runs as part of the plot. 30XX tries the same, but it's not central to the experience the way it is in Hades.

An older god of healing who appears in the #Iliad as the Healer of the Gods is #Paian. In the Iliad, Paian heals #Ares after the latter is injured by #Diomedes and #Athena through medicine that produces instant relief. #Hades is healed in a similar fashion after #Herakles' arrow (thankfully without hydra blood) pierces him.
Paian is later reduced to an epithet of both #Apollon and his son #Asklepios.
A god that is not usually associated with medicine but has a healing aspect is #Dionysos.

Regarding games I am a huge Nintendo fan - I will go play #totk right after posting this - and otherwise play a ton of roguelikes. I have way too many hours in #STS and #hades. I have also been having fun with #MarvelSnap.
In recent months I have also been having playing around with #aiart. I acknowledge that the moral situation is a mess, but it's just so much fun. I am a bit self-conscious about sharing stuff, though, since most of what I create are images of pretty women in weird artstyles... For now I put one as my avatar.
I do not have any previous experience with websites like this, so there is a decent chance I will decide next week that this whole concept is boring and disappear. Enjoy me will you can, I guess.

One of them is about Askalaphos, the keeper of #Hades' orchard: He saw #Persephone eat the pomegranate seeds and testified against her so she had to return to the underworld every year. In anger, #Demeter trapped him below a giant boulder. When #Herakles came to fetch Kerberos, he rolled the boulder away, freeing Askalaphos. Demeter then turned the gardener into an eagle #owl.

I'm a UX librarian in Raleigh, NC. I do content strategy and user research. My great UX passion is making web forms that don't suck! Outside of work, I love to read novels that are filled with a sense of dread, watch gritty reboots of literally anything, play too much of Hades the video game, and hang out with my 7-month-old baby making pirate sounds.
