I left school 30 years ago. I've been in therapy, and I still fall apart when I hear a story of long-term bullying similar to mine where cops & school were absolutely useless and probably made the situation much worse by their inaction. Abusers become more smug when they sense they have impunity.
Thankful that the violence I incurred from my attackers didn't kill my "sissy, fag, poof, girl" body, but I sure have plenty of scars in my mind, and damn it still triggers me to fall apart and regress back to that scared child and teen.

57-year-old #FrankNorviel, of #Leesburg allegedly harassed the couple for several months by standing along the fence separating their property or riding his bicycle past their home, shouting slurs, shining lights and making homophobic remarks, reported WKMG-TV.
Norviel threatened to eat the family cat to one child in a disturbing account.
