@jcalexandrewrites When I look at my own life, I realize pretty quickly that I've also hurt people. Mostly fortunately not physically, often unintentionally, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm not a consistently positive, loving person.
If God only accepts those people in heaven who are "righteous," I'm sure He will remain there alone. All people will end up separated from Him in hell.
However, if God is willing to forgive our transgressions (which He has impressively shown in Jesus Christ), then we should be prepared to potentially meet every sinner in heaven.

C.S. Lewis expresses at one point, "At the end of time there will be two kinds of people: The one who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and the other to whom God says, 'Your will be done.'"

So if anyone is going to hell, it will be the one who does not accept God's will. And God's will, in a nutshell, says: "Love God (that is, the personified unconditional love) with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself."
If I am not willing to forgive those who ask for forgiveness (in this, I think it is enough for us to wish we could do it, even if we actually can't), then I owe them this unconditional love. And this separates me(!) from God, not them.

I want to learn to love more and more unconditionally (not that I can ever do it in this life), to forgive more and more. The hatred for those fellow human beings "who have harmed others so much" makes me sick inside myself. And if I then ignore where all around I myself have hurt my fellow human beings, it gets really bad.
I would like to heal in my soul. That's why I want to love and forgive.

The is the great journey to the other place / to death. It is when the spirit leave the body and moves on to what is waiting for us. It is more than just a journey though, it is the etherial movement from this place to another, to the mysterious place yonder -- out of reach.

In Anglo-Saxon / Jutish pre-christian / #pagan beliefs, it would be to #Hel, not the #Christian Hell, but the after-life.

After #Christianity took over, it became the journey to either #Heaven (for reward) or #Hell (punishment / damnation)
