Just one of many amazing arts seen while walking around Mid-Manhattan. There were 3 bronze ballerinas, 2 hippos & 1 rhino, outside the entrance to One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza near the United Nations Plaza.

My wife and I recently visited the local zoo with our visitors. I think the adults had more fun than the kids. Especially this adult. 😁

I almost always draw Set in His Sha form, with the big rectangular ears. But various additional animals are sacred to Him as well, including donkeys, pigs, hippos, oryx, and the Mormyrus elephantfish (also called the Oxyrhynchus Fish, the one that ate Osiris' unmentionables). Colombia’s invasive #hippo population is close to 200 individuals — significantly more than the 2021 estimate of about 98.
They are descendants of 4 hippos illegally imported by drug-cartel leader Pablo Escobar. After he died in 1993, the hippos escaped. Now they are breeding rapidly, eroding riverbanks and outcompeting animals such as the West Indian manatee.
Many researchers advocate culling the hippos, but the idea is controversial.

First real and finished project with procreate. Lots of experimenting.
It was for a little creative challenge and had to include 'hippo', 'umbrella' and 'light (source)'.
I used a 3D program to help me with composition and drawing the sketches for the characters. Whole thing took over 18 hours.
