I have a weird request to the #photography community here in the #Fediverse: Do you have an unedited photo of a #sunset or any other #dusk or #dawn with the #horizon visible? I'm working on the lighting system in our game, and it's hard to find reference images that have realistic colours.
I do not want to use the image for anything, I just want to look at it to get the colours right.

Finished the #Horizon #TheBurningShores DLC. I'd been hoping for some romance in the game, but Seyka is such a bland character that I didn't go for that option. BioWare has been doing it pretty well with #MassEffect and #DragonAge, but IMO it doesn't work to force-feed a romantic pairing like this.
My personal choice would've been Petra. I think Aloy and she had great chemistry from the start.
Everybody else is playing Zelda, but I finally finished the main story of Horizon: The Forbidden West.
On to the DLC!

Sadly for those working in #universities & hoping the #Tories would (quickly) conclude an agreement on outstanding fees to allow the to rejoin the #Horizon research programme, the 'discount' offered by the EU for the two year delay has been deemed insufficient by UK negotiators, ensuring the lockout from the #European research community continues;
tthe longer the delay (and uncertainty) the less likely bridges can/will be be rebuilt with #EU located research teams!

But please please please can AAA developers give us an option to turn off the protagonist in games self talking the solutions to puzzles if you don't instantly solve them. You can even leave it on by default but let me turn it off. it is the worst.

Played through and completed #HorizonForbiddenWest #BurningShore last night. Solid DLC that adds loads to the world building and Aloys character development. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who has played #HFW.

You may have seen some of my #sunset #photographs before and, yes, it’s the same #horizon and the same old #Sun but this one caught my eye because of its sharpness. There wasn’t a cloud in the vicinity of the Sun when it was setting. You can see the bright, smoothly varying #yellow, #gold and #orange of the #sky contrasting the dark, sharp #silhouettes of the #trees in the #foreground. Also there’s that mobile phone mast too. We belong to a local #Reform synagogue, despite being Christians (one of us [me] a former professional Christian). There are many reasons for this: a lifelong appreciation of Jewish ritual and ethics, a Jewish step-mom who's closer to me (and my spouse) than we are with our bio-moms, and an aversion to supersessionism and bad theology in general in Christian churches. (When I left my last church, under very unpleasant circumstances, a fried, the organist, said, "I didn't think I could be a Christian, but you made a place where I could be a Christian." Turns out I did the same for myself.😢
I'm #autistic and have #cPTSD. Also #ChronicPain, #asthma, and a scarred trachea, making this #pandemic both incredibly tedious and yet full of suspense!

Boating on #GeorgianBay in a small motorboat is always iffy as it usually has big waves, but on this day it was #calm, inducing a feeling of being lulled to sleep with the gentle rocking of the boat and the #hypnotic #blues of the sky and water. The #horizon in the distance and the blue #water with a dash of pink #sky made a lovely #natureabstract.

UK scientific leaders have urged their government to rejoin the EU’s €95.5bn Horizon research programme as soon as possible. Prime minister Sunak questioned if membership represented value for money.

I finally finished the Horizon Forbidden West main story. I’ve taken my time at 130 hours played and enjoyed every minute of it.
I’m at 84,5% completion and I’ll play a bit more. I refuse to learn/play machine strike tho, if I liked board games, I wouldn’t be playing this. 😅

There is something about taking a shot which surprises even the photographer. When I was taking this shot, I wasn’t really worried about the background except for lining up the horizon, I was more focused on capturing the waves spraying up from the rocks but when I looked at it after … the little pieces that come together really make the shot better.
