Tabletop RPG question for all you awesome GMs and Players out there: how do you organize and track information in your games?
As in, how do you keep track of what plots are in motion, what NPCs and villains are up to? How do you organize your game worlds and settings?
When I was a teen, I used to make huge worlds, dozens of NPCs with their own character sheets, crazy-person™ webs of relationships and plot threads, maps of the world and each setting the charterers would likely explore, and so on.
It was awesome...and super-mega-overkill.
Since then, I've developed a minimalist index card system that relies on mostly improv and letting the players make assumptions or assertions about the world that I then weave into the established lore. It was inspired by the Lazy GM (DM?) and the collaborative history-building game, Microscope. I also use the 5-room dungeon / 5-act play structure for plots and encounters.
But I want to hear your ideas. What tips, tricks, successes and failures have you had in this area?

Going through Samsung Notes to ensure I transfer the correct weird bits and blurbs of ideas I've frantically typed throughout the last months/years for potential development into WordPress posts via the excellent Jetpack app for Android.
(I know I *could* write these blurbs directly in Jetpack, but the thing is, not all my notes would necessarily be turned into blog posts, as some are just random notes to myself).
Anyway, the reason for my semi-obsessive note taking is a creativity-related concept I've been grappling with for 30 years now.
Throughout the years, I've found that no matter HOW great and memorable your idea is, you will NOT remember it later. There are exactly two paths. You need to 1) write it down AS SOON AS YOU THINK OF IT, so you can remember it and enjoy it or scrap it later, or, 2) get used to a 'zen' kind of acceptance thing for ideas, to just let them go when you can't remember them later.
The price of remembering an idea is writing it down immediately, wherever you are. Somewhere you can find it.
Or maybe your thing is voice notes, if you remember to check them. I don't like voice stuff. I'm old. I write! 🤣

Given the name, social media is meant to #social. It’s meant to be an exchange of #ideas and #information. It’s meant to be where you find people with similar #interests or #experiences.
But, left unmoderated, social media tends towards a cesspool of bigotry. We have seen small cohorts of people with terrible ideas gain traction and spread their influence, with the platforms unable or unwilling to stem the tide of hatred.
I love following people on whatever #platform it is, and seeing their wonderful pieces. It saddens me that some people see social media as purely a way to get money into their pockets, where every post they put up in selling something and their is little actual #engagement with their audience.
So, if you’ve seen this, please buck the trend and engage in the social media platforms of your choice, #talk to people, create a social space within your own posts and encourage others to follow your lead.

It would be cool if mastodon added a feature where if you posted a link and that link was "verified" by a mastodon account, that the post would link back to that user, and if there was a lot of independent engagement with that url you could see the entire conversation easily even if the author wasn't tagged directly. #mastodon #ideas #features

Everyone knows that Deep New York was designed by swarmer robots (only a few know that it was also designed by the ants)
Once humanity became first comfortable with, then reliant on AI, autonomous robots were inevitable. Deployed at first to address the climate crises, autonomous robots have broad goals and answer to no one. 1/
So the ants in this story are typically about 15cm or 6in long. These are the workers, the majors and queens are larger. Some queens about the size of a cat. Individual ants are about as intelligent as dogs, but the more of them you have in close proximity the more complex their reasoning. The ants also come in small sizes all the way down to dust-mite sized ants who work on electronics. #threads #ideas
