It feels like readers are bombarded with fiction writers blogging what they want to say. So why would the reader read their fiction if the can get the direct message on the author’s blog or social media. Those outlets are certainly shorter and quicker to consume than a novel or short story.
Maybe that’s why I’m not so active in my newsletter/ blog output.
Maybe I’m putting too much in my fiction and not having enough left over for a nonfiction venue.
I don’t know.
Times are sure changing.

Seriously.
When I was away for a weekend once, my mother did what she called "dinging out" my room. She would go in and throw away anything she deemed to be junk.
In this specific case, I was a high school senior ... and nearly every short story and poem I had written and carefully saved went out with the kitchen trash.
I am sure most of it was poorly written, to be honest; I had no real life experience to draw on, and hadn't practiced my craft for long (obviously). But sometimes I think it would be fun to look at how far I've come from those band fics and AB/AB poems.

Arc readers are readers that you give an advanced copy of the book too so they can give early reviews which in theory helps generate hype for the release.
I haven't used arc readers before so I can't attest to how well they actually help sales.

Final proofing and formatting of my sci-noir Desolate Kharma for Patreon release in March and world release in June.
Notes on writing nothing but absurdism fiction:
Freeing. No worries about filling with words. No completing a big picture. No static. Just a story that conveys emotion and a point. It feels like I'm writing nonfiction. How I missed writing like that.

After *meticulous* editing and proofreading, just spotted two typos in the acknowledgements section of #ParallelLines, which came in late … and didn’t go to my proofreader … and so *of course* I introduced two typos in the process.
I've uploaded changes to Amazon ... but I hate that the first folks to buy the book will be the ones to get the less perfect versions!
