I suspect what ticked the hammer off were tags referring to "prohibited" substances. namely #thc #weed #marijuana #LSD #acid #tryptamine #hallucinogenic. the posts were deleted without informing me even though I was also using tags such as "moderation" and "noalcohol" in the same post. why is it forbidden to talk positively about these blissful compounds that nature gifts us, while hyperconsumption of #alcohol, #nicotine and #coffee is normalized and even encouraged, and the elite is allowed to indulge unquestioned, including #public #officials?

There should really be a requirement for the responding agency to 'show their work’ and prove that they aren't just responding to requests at the latest moment, rather than legitimately trying to complete the request in the original 30 days allotted.
I love that it says “in limited circumstances”... the time limit may be extended. Weird how common those “limited circumstances” are. I can't remember a request where they didn't ask for an extension.

From what I can tell, there are +feedbacks like those (increasing footprint of content), and -feedbacks like #Privacy settings that constrain the potential flow of #information.

It seems like the expectation is that they are the same, but that does not appear to be the case. It could be just the differences between the accounts generating the posts that I'm commenting on, but it feels like in general, comments (even well-written, lengthy responses with #hashtags) disappear into the wind, while any basic post, directly submitted to the stream gets #engagement.

Given the name, social media is meant to #social. It’s meant to be an exchange of #ideas and #information. It’s meant to be where you find people with similar #interests or #experiences.
But, left unmoderated, social media tends towards a cesspool of bigotry. We have seen small cohorts of people with terrible ideas gain traction and spread their influence, with the platforms unable or unwilling to stem the tide of hatred.
I love following people on whatever #platform it is, and seeing their wonderful pieces. It saddens me that some people see social media as purely a way to get money into their pockets, where every post they put up in selling something and their is little actual #engagement with their audience.
So, if you’ve seen this, please buck the trend and engage in the social media platforms of your choice, #talk to people, create a social space within your own posts and encourage others to follow your lead.
I've really got into the swing of #Lists on here. If you're interested, I have refined it down to seven that I am finding homes all the new people I follow, even if they appear on two or more lists:
A #Outdoors. All the stuff about being outdoors, adventuring, exploring, enjoying the world.
B. #Gaia. The natural world, and my delight in knowing about it
C. #Creativity. Art, photography, music, sculpture, food, textiles, the whole realm of what people love to do with their time.
D. #Green. Ecology, gardening, environment, planet-care
E. #Past. Archaeology, history, heritage
F: #Future. Science, space, speculation, forward thinking
G: #Information. News, journalism, stuff that catches my interest that doesn't really fit anywhere else.
The tools to list-build are really intuitive. I had 20+ on Twitter, but this feels plenty on here.

very interesting - Rakoen Maertens, a research psychologist at the University of Cambridge worked with YouGov to build an online quiz based on his research, dubbed the “misinformation susceptibility test” (MIST).
Interestingly he also found that people spending three or more leisure hours a day online were more likely to fall for misinformation.
