I've bought quite a bit of #fountainpen paraphernalia and today I cleared off the top of my office bookcase so i could neatly organize my pens, ink bottles, and journals.
I have watercolors, brushes, and sketchbooks coming later this week, which i'll keep in the shelves behind the doors.
It was nice to make a special space for my 'penware' so that simply passing by and seeing them is both enjoyable and tempting.

Skull of hornbill. Cranorrhinus corrugatis. The skull has a large eye socket, a long curving bill, and a bony mass atop the bill. I used crosshatching in the background to make the skull pop from the page.

Some sort of shiny Black Sea urchin. It has no spikes. Instead, it is made of platelets similar to that on the shell of a tortoise. It is round and dined with a bony fringe around its circumference.

A video demonstrating two new shimmer inks from Ferris Wheel Press, a claret-crimson ink with champagne shimmer, and a green ink with light golden tones and silver shimmer, which also has a matching green fountain pen. I am brushing ink samples onto a postcard and writing “(Almost) Fall Y’all” in the two colors, and displaying the bottles to show the shimmer swirling around in the ink. I then show the ink test when dry, to show the true color of the ink and shimmer effects.
