This handsome dragonfly was hanging out in Arroyo de las Montoyas at the north end of the village of Corrales just waiting for a tasty morsel to pass by. Note the yellow stripes on the thorax along with interesting black and white patterns.

This is the giant leopard moth. This moth species has a wingspan of 76 mm. Its wings are bright white with a pattern of neat black blotches, some solid and some hollow.
