Ireland defended well for vast swathes of that second half but need more variation in attack to threaten the try line. England were poor. 18 unforced errors not good enough, but with the number of changes in the squad today, have to wonder how much of an impact it had #IREvENG #TikTokW6N
England haven't been at their best today, but they haven't needed to be. I always worry about the "slow" starts when going into the match v France.
Don't get me wrong, Ireland have done well in some aspects of the game, but it's clear to see the gulf between the two teams.

After years of watching the football team I'd gotten used to The Fields of Athenry showing up like Nearer My God to Thee on the Titanic.
So, yeah, that hit different.
My social media feeds are currently alternating between posts celebrating Ireland's Grand Slam in the 6 Nations, and posts reporting the total meltdown of the Spurs manager after yet another catastrophic performance by the team.
It feels like I'm the subject of a cruel sports-based psychology experiment.

England have definitely improved, and Jaco Peyper has been not that great as a referee today, but England were not quite good enough today. Even with a really good ref it wasn't going to be England.
