I took this image years ago when I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to see this carousel again. The carousel's fate was in question after operating at Casino Pier for many years. This year it finally acquired a permanent home and will be giving rides in the near future!

This was taken in the early morning on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. The rocks along a section of the beach, combined with the ocean waves and the seagull perched on top of the storm drain I thought made for an interesting photograph. I added a long exposure to soften the waves and create a misty effect but while still having a sense of motion.

If anyone is looking for a cool sunset drive in New Jersey, take Great Bay Boulevard in Tuckerton out into the marshes. You will come to an old pilings from long gone boat slips. You can see some amazing sunsets out here! This is very close to one of my previous posts about the old Coast Guard station.

This is the old coast guard station that now houses a the Rutgers Marine Research Center in Tuckerton, NJ. The road out to the center requires crossing several single lane bridges and a hope that that road is not flooded! It is a beautiful drive if you have a chance! This was taken just after sunset.
