My 2006 GMC Sierra "Ol' Blue" is in the shop again this morning. This time for the smoking AC compressor, and a minor brake issue (they were just redone).
Yes, she only gets 16MPG. But she runs great, her AWD/4WD is essential for mobility here in the Winter, and I can't bring myself to fork over $80k to replace her!

I don't think I can continue daily again, but the need for hope and encouragement is greater than ever, and I will do my best as I can.
I can at least do the next two weeks: every day I will be sharing a section from #AbbyBrockman's essay "Despair Is Not a Strategy: 15 Principles of Hope". 💪
I'm up early to read a PhD thesis before the family awakes. It's such a privilege to be able to assess these. I always learn something, and the passion and pride our colleagues pour into their work is always impressive.
