Nuzzling into Joey's black fur. There has been mixed reaction in my family to me naming her Potato. So, I was thinking of Penelope, after the lead singer of the great American punk rock band, the Avengers. But then, I was cooking some potatoes and she went NUTS for them - - she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES potatoes. So maybe it's her second name, i.e. Penelope Potato.

This is when I first met Potato (tentative name) yesterday. She's Joey Puppycat Ramone's new adopted sister. He is 3 times bigger than her but she must have learned some survival techniques because she gulps down all the food in her bowl and then muscles into his and eats all his food. She also puts him at ease with constant loud purring.

Our latest foster kittens - the Spicy Kittens - Ursula, Yoda, and Lil' Bob. They were quite feral when we got them early last week. But the gloves are off now, literally. They may hiss and occasionally spit but will let us pick them up, sometimes with a little chase but no blood lost. And they will calmly sit and be petted - no purring yet but we're getting there. And they even meet our big cats with no drama.

Morning #CupOfTeaSocial! I overslept by 90 minutes today. I either forgot to set my alarm or slept through it. Either way, I apparently needed almost 10 hours of sleep.

I woke up at 7.40am - I was supposed to leave at 7.30am to get the kittens to the vet. I got them there at 8.05am but luckily everyone else was running late too due to traffic.

Kittens are all good. They are booked in for early sterilisation as we have one boy and one girl and need them not to reproduce!!!

Note to self: next time you trap a couple of pregnant stray cats, try to get some in different colors. Voids are lovely but hard to photograph. Three years ago he was the scrappy little runt of the litter, but as he grew up he eventually overtook his sisters and is now the second-largest (unable to overtake his big brother Vincent who had a head start and is also simply huge).
