Recently, we had a charity fundraising fair to raise money for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital where we had crafts, books, and a few other things on sale but the most popular thing was the raffle, which I donated a voucher for a pair of handmade socks.
So now I'm starting on the pair for the winner :)
So I’m advancing nicely with my top down #knitted sweater. But the circular needle isn’t long enough to be able to ‘try it on as you go’. So I can either just follow the pattern, put all the stiches on a long piece of scrap yarn or buy a long circular needle to determine when to start separating the sleeves from the body.

My #TahitiKAL slowly takes shape, but ugh, the last part is lace and that means counting 😅 I always complain with shawls once I have a certain amount of stitches on my needles, because one row takes FOREVER. And then I cast on the next shawl 🤷

Behold, the power of baking soda! The #knitted swatch, the cone of yarn, the shuttle, and the stripe between the two white stripes are all from the same cone of yarn.
I washed the swatch in soap and baking soda, and its grubby greenish beige colour turned into a mid green colour. After I get this #weaving off the #loom I'll wash the whole thing and get two kitchen towels.
The cotton grew this colour and alkaline water intensifies it.
