Today is a terrible day. I made a 57 on my Neuroscience test and a 70 on a Geography quiz. Then I found out the old Roman #Catholic women who attacked me last semester on campus because I am a "fake priest" and a "fraud" as well as an "abomination" for being #LGBTQIA are back on campus with the blessing of the administration. So much for Title IX protections. And of course, I cannot afford a #lawyer. I can't afford food much less #counsel. Ready to just give up. 25 years of service gone.

Em 2008, uma das regras no MAM era que os veículos dos visitantes deveriam estacionar com a frente para parede.
Visto que a área do gradil do MAM tinha dois vigilantes armados, para um colega sair mais cedo do MAM, houve uma vez que fui trabalhar no estacionamento.
Logo, lembraram-me da regra, daí perguntei: "acaso um visitante não queira estacionar na regra, qual seria a regra?"
Então me falaram que um visitante, chegou discutindo alto com a mulher dentro do veículo e não estacionou conforme a regra, foi orientado mas recusou-se a manobrar.
Quando foi orientado outra vez, o visitante desceu do veículo xingando o vigilante, tipo:
"Sua desgraça, estacione essa desgraça como quiser, e jogou a chave nos pés do vigilante"
O vigilante sacou a arma e deu-lhe uns tapas e o mandou embora "vão assistir o pôr do Sol na casa do krl!"
Perguntei "e a polícia?" Falaram-me "O casal usava alianças diferentes, tu achas que vão procurar a polícia!"
Eu, "alianças diferentes?" Os colegas riram e falaram "traição", aí a ficha caiu! MAS A VELADA ORIENTAÇÃO ERA UMA ARMADILHA DO CÃO LÁ FORA AGORA! 🪤
Pois, naquele pôr do sol no MAM 5 veículos não seguiram a regra, 3 eram casais que usavam alianças diferentes e os 3 se recusaram a manobrar os veículos.
Eis que uma motorista parecia que sabia da ORIENTAÇÃO ARMADILHA, que deram-me horas antes, pois ela olhou para aliança antes de dizer-me que não iria manobrar o veículo.
Sem estress, coloquei tipo "cones" na frente dos veículos!
O pôr do Sol no MAM é lindo e o JAZZ é massa, mas estacione certo!

The Chief Justice of India-led bench has decided to impose a cost of Rs 2,000 on an advocate for seeking adjournment of a hearing at the last minute through an unprepared junior advocate. The junior advocate appeared without the case file and could not answer any queries about the case. The Chief Justice expressed disapproval and asked the advocate on record to appear in the case as soon as possible. The advocate on record was also asked to deposit a cost of Rs 2,000 for wasting judicial time.

Elena Kagan is a US Supreme Court judge. Kagan achieved many firsts in her career, starting with her childhood where she negotiated with her rabbi to perform his/the congregation's first bat mitzvah where she read from the Book of Ruth, rather than the Torah.
In the mid-90s, Kegan worked with the Clinton White House in various capacities, from White House Council, to Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy.
Kegan went back to academia and eventually became the first dean of Harvard Law, where she was known for many pro-student reforms.
In 2009 she was appointed as the first Solicitor General of the US by the Obama administration, and in 2010 she was appointed to the US Supreme court, where she sits today.

He's a #lawyer who focused on environmental law when he was actually working as a lawyer, but he's winging it on every other subject. You really had to wonder what gave her the idea for the Order, since she raised it on her own, & there was nothing about the known #litigation record that raised the issue she flagged, which is so wrong legally.

I know and respect the fact that people have widely divergent opinions about the importance of lawyers in the U.S., but I will say this - knowing that (at least some of) the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court can be bought off makes being a #lawyer in the U.S. something I'm far less proud of than I used to be. I'm no longer able to say with any sincerity that we are a country that respects the Rule of #Law. I really hope that at some point in the future I can say that again...
