Call me an EV shill, but we've had ZERO problems with our 2015 Nissan Leaf. It was a California car we took to northern New England, and literally the only maintenance items are tires and windshield washer fluid. We drive it all year long.

I can't tell if the report is conflating [B]EVs and PHEVs to make for a damning indictment of EVs overall. I certainly agree that PHEVs are more complex, because it literally has two kinds propulsion systems.

Granted anecdotes are not data, but I find it odd my own experience is so disparate from Consumer Reports findings/surveys.

Fwiw, I've been biased against Nissan due to many years of having ridden in B210s, 210s and Sentras. You might say I turned over a new "Leaf".

I spotted this maple leaf on a daily walk but only had my GRIII with me, so went back early morning a couple of days later with my main camera, and found it trapped in morning dew. I love the effect the water has had on the leaf structure - like small, abstract pixellations.

Been reading too much news today, while feeling a bit under the weather.

I did find a leaf building a protective cage around itself though.

Sounds like a plan.

Looking to replace our aging Skoda Octavia after 10 years (it's 14 years old) with an #EV. It looks like a toss-up between a #Nissan #Leaf e+ and #Volkswagen ID.3, having ruled out a few similar cars on various grounds. Neither of them look quite perfect on paper, both have good and bad points. Will try test drives in the coming weeks.

Looking for second-hand, approx 2 years old, and will probably keep it until the end of its (reliable) life.

Anyone have any thoughts/experiences with either?

Leaves in the Autumn Wind is an abstract acrylic painting in portrait format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. The focus of the painting is an American red oak leaf in bright warm autumn colours of yellow, orange and red. The background is painted with loose, moving brushstrokes in cooler shades of blue, white, purple and pink to represent the fresh cool autumn wind. Individual autumn leaves can still be seen in the background, but they are only blurred to show the movement of the swirling leaves. The painting is painted with multiple layers of paint giving the background a textured and vibrant appearance.
After the painting was finished, I held it in my hand to look at it. I noticed that the picture also looks good when turned upside down or horizontally and each has a different, exciting visual effect. So I rotated the image three times and uploaded three more versions. So everyone can decide for themselves which version appeals to them and suits their rooms and furnishings. Or you can hang two or four versions together as a series on the wall...
