A German law about how employees are legally required to inform their employer about any and all of their inventions. The employee can't use the invention unless the employer releases it and if the employee isn't happy with what the company is willing to pay he has to sue his employer. At least the employer has to pay something.
Just got a very short email from AppFolio, a portal my landlord uses to accept rent, warning me:
“Beginning at 12:00 am PST on 07/31/2023, AppFolio will no longer waive the transaction fee for payments made by eCheck. All eCheck payments moving forward will have a $2.49 AppFolio transaction fee”
Since there appears to be no way avoid this fee I believe this qualifies as an illegal rent hike prohibited by Seattle municipal code 7.24.030.
Does anyone else know about this or have you experienced something similar?

It’s a big step in implementing the city’s “right to counsel” ordinance after months of delays. To get a free attorney now, eligible Detroiters just have to show up to their first hearing at 36th District Court and qualify based on their yearly income.
According to Georgia's premises liability law, victims of accidents may sue the owner or occupier of property for negligently creating or failing to remedy, warn of, or fix these and other dangerous circumstances that result in personal damage or wrongful death.
A Georgia statute, O.C.G.A. 51-3-1, codifies this need to keep the premises secure for visitors.
