I really, honestly try my best to not blindly attribute blame when #LiverpoolFC lose. If you lose, you own it.
But, today is not that day.
Holy ever-living fuck, #LFC was absolutely robbed of a chance to win this game by the most shambolic, disgraceful officiating. An absolute embarassment for the EPL.
You have to be f*cking kidding me.
This goal changes the game. This decision could determine where we position in the table at the end of the season. It could be the difference between qualifying for the #ChampionsLeague or not. It could be the difference between winning the league or not.
The #FA and the #PremierLeague need to take a serious look at the quality of the officiating and the processes they undertake to come to their decisions during matches.

So, yeah, the Premier League refs acknowledge that VAR totally blew the offside call on Diaz.
I'm seeing a lot of Spurs fans not recognize just how mediocre the club was today. Got scored against by 10 men, should have been scored against twice by 10 men, and couldn't score themselves against even 9 men. This was a disappointing showing.

I would like to congratulate #LFC for continuing their 3-1 goal total in the face of extremes of incompetence by the authorities, Simon Hooper for being the first ref to send off a #Liverpool player for one yellow, and Darren England for being paid a healthy salary for refusing to do anything other than fuck all and admitting it to a global football audience.
At this point Manchester City will have to do a really good job not to drop any more points.
I mean... Wolves.
And PGMOL can't expect their lawless behaviour to continue unaddressed without redressing Liverpool for their persistent unidirectional, cummulative "human errors", however embarrassing they feel that is to them.

The acknowledgment of a “significant human error” does little towards awarding #LFC a deserved point. There is no justice that can correct the wrong at this phase. Darren England and Dan Cook should never be assigned again. Horridly incompetent performances today.
How does one have a ‘full review’ of ‘errr… we didn’t draw the lines.’ #LFC
Statement released by @FA_PGMOL@twitter.com that Luis Diaz effort just before half-time should have stood. He wasn't offside. Poor, poor mistake. PGMOL to conduct "full review" and will contact #LFC to "acknowledge the error" but that's no consolation to Liverpool. #TOTLIV

Never mind. Spurs have to visit Anfield sometime later in the season.

It wasn't the ref that sent off Jones or disallowed the goal #lfc
@liverpool What I'm taking away post-match is that Spurs almost didn't win. 20 mins 11 v 9 and they almost didn't win. I'm not worried about a Spurs threat going forward. #LFC #TOTLIV
The song was written in Liverpool, but it seems that Manchester City are needing a little help from their friends.
On the bright side, and there has to be a bright side, the lads did really well for 95 minutes and there are still only a couple of points in it. We go again. #lfc
You must be blind. Tottenham scored one goal and were unable to score a second themselves. What revolution? Do you believe they will be able to consistently steal games?
Spurs celebrating that as though they’ve just won the league is possibly one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen… 😂 #LFC
What a fucking joke. Spurs couldn’t even manage to win the match for themselves against LFC’s NINE MAN TEAM— they needed an unfortunate error by Matip resulting in an own goal to pull it off. Officiating was epically horrendous—the fix was in from the 26th minute . #LFC #YNWA #MastodonFC
FT: Spurs 2 Liverpool 1. Gutted for Matip. Post-match reaction and your Man of the Match please...?
#Lfc #liverpoolfc #liverpool #ynwa

That was the only way Spurs were going to get a goal. Their attacking was absolutely dire for nearly 30 minutes there.
2 dodgy red cards and a dodgy off-side.
I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories but this is testing me.
Jota got his first booking because a Spurs player tripped over his own feet.
Then sent off for a legit yellow card moments later.
Madness.
At this point, I would take the single point from the 10 men of #LFC against the 12 of Spurs.
Calling it now, we're going to get the softest penalty possible in the second half because the reffing in the first half was so abysmal and they know it.

At least getting shafted by the refs will make it all the funnier if we still win 3-1.
Klopp touchline ban is a dead cert after this one.
Feels like we’re being pranked by these refs today. They’ll bring out Ashton Kucher in a minute and then we’ll start the game for real.
I don't follow #football - just not my sport. Haven't watched a match outside of World Cups in literally years.
I happen to be at a friend's house watching the match today, and even I, with my limited knowledge, recognise that Liverpool have been absolutely shafted by two atrocious VAR decisions this match.
With the red card you could actually see the VAR screen fail to show the ref the one clearly exonerating angle. And the offside call was nonsense. Bad.
Not offside. VAR won't even show the lines because they knew they got it wrong. #lfc

Diaz was obviously onside? Clear as day.
Liverpool-Spurs about to start and Mancity about to lose. This is shaping up to be a nice weekend.
Tottenham and Arsenal are still part of the group of four remaining teams with #LFC and MCFC who haven't lost any games yet this season, but that's little consolation for Spurs and Gunners who appear to be sliding down to fifth and sixth place respectively.
And things could get even worse for THFC today.

Every little bit of help helps!
With many thanks to Aston Villa.
Now we only have to do our jobs.
Brighton shocking result there. #lfc

ESPN FC criticise Darwin once again, yet they select him as part of their Combined XI. They have "glasses half full" for Tottenham, according to Steve Nicol, but then none of their other pundits predict a Tottenham win.
All of this means that they really don't like Liverpool winning, they don't want Liverpool to win, they protest a lot about it, and they put Darwin down, but ultimately the facts are the facts.

No one should have to live as a second class citizen under such regimes.

Hold on Liverpool, now I don't know where we're going to place so many midfielders 🤣
Formation: 4 - 7 - 3

The Liverpool midfield is fascinating today. No fixed roles at all. Everybody rotating through every position, including a bit of dropping in from Diaz and Salah. It’s working really well so far.
I love #LFC but there is something slightly depressing them playing LASK and the only commentary being Talksport 2 🙄
Honestly, Europa League is better for me, since I teach on Tue/Wed but not Thu. Thanks #LFC

@mattmay @30yrdscreamer @trttr @mike @KirkbyRedScouser
I agree on everything Mo Salah deserves for his world class work of all these years.
But the point wasn't about that, it was that he would likely stay and end his career at Anfield if FSG were ready to pay him money of the required magnitude for a world class footballer, maybe not exactly the same sum, but certainly a sum that would make the Saudi approaches seem too much hassle for little gain by comparison.
@30yrdscreamer @trttr @mike @KirkbyRedScouser
I agree that whatever happens in Saudi Arabia should be irrelevant.
Is it unreasonable to think that if it's true that FSG can find £111m to sign Caicedo they shouldn't have trouble finding £120m to keep Salah happy?
If we are convinced that we've done everything imaginable to rebuild and we are competitive enough to win the League if he stays, then the money factor should be out of the question because the contract pays for itself.
Just tuned into the #Rangers vs #Celtic match and was surprised to hear the 'Allez Allez Allez' chant! Didn't expect that, but it's a testament to how universal the love for the game is. ⚽🎶 #LFC #FootballCulture
On the sporting side, you are absolutely right.
On the business side, £150m is an enormous amount of money, and Liverpool FC only see that kind of money once a year from the Premier League on account of TV rights, and from UEFA Champions League when we're competent in that. You also have to account for the fact that Mo Salah is not going to produce any money, exactly £0 on the day his contract is done.
It's definitely not an easy decision from any point of view.
