I never thought I would get the chance to be where I am now, at 26, with my transition and my disabilities, so now I look forward to what aging will be like for me.
Perhaps it's silly, but I think it's important that trans people get to enjoy ageing, even if it's normal for everyone to say things like “Don’t grow old.” I want to see what it's like.

Quelle situation en #Argentine depuis l'élection du libertarien Milei et de la vice présidente Villaruel ? Extraits en avant première d'un 1er bilan perspectives synthétique de notre commission internationale.
Le prolétariat argentin face à la crise économique et sociale et au péril d'extrême droite
La victoire de Milei et Villaruel (La Libertad Avanza (LLA)) va considérablement aggraver une situation déjà très difficile dans une Argentine s’enfonçant toujours plus dans une crise tant économique que sociale. Des mesures d’austérité violentes vont être mises en place rapidement accompagnées d’un appareil répressif visant à empêcher les mobilisations. Milei n'est pas un nouveau Trump ou Bolsonaro. Ce n’est pas un néofasciste mais un vrai libertarien. Son objectif n’est pas de renforcer l’État, mais de l’affaiblir en vue d’une société plus autoritaire, certes, mais en diminuant le plus possible le rôle de l’État au profit de la loi du marché et d’un libéralisme féroce et sans régulation : suppression prévue de 12 ministères (ceux liés aux affaires publiques) pour être remplacés par 2 « super-ministères ». Les domaines conservés incluraient l’économie, les relations extérieures, la sécurité, l’intérieur, la défense, la justice et les 2 « super-ministères » des Infrastructures (transports, des travaux publics, de l’exploitation minière, de l’énergie et des communications) ainsi que celui du capital humain (regroupant le développement social, la santé, le travail et l’éducation). Sur le plan économique, on peut certainement rapprocher le programme de LLA de celui de Trump, mais l’Argentine a plus à perdre que les USA : les services publics existent encore et représentent l’un des derniers remparts pour survivre à la situation extrême du pays. Milei ne pourra pas supprimer d’un coup l’ensemble du système public mais s’attaquera à son démantèlement par tous les moyens. Côté privatisations prévues : YPF (pétrole) et Aerolíneas Argentinas (aviation civile). Outre les aspects économiques prédominants tout au long de la campagne, l’Argentine fait face à une inflation annuelle de 145% sur les 12 derniers mois, avec plus de 40% de la population vivant sous le seuil de Pauvreté, l’aspect sécuritaire a également été prédominant. En témoigne la volonté de Milei (élu grâce à Juntos Por El Cambio (JxC) de Patricia Bullrich et Mauricio Macri) de dédier 3 ministères à la sécurité malgré le démantèlement du reste des secteurs publics et légaliser la vente d'armes.
La vice-présidente de LLA, Victoria Villaruel représente la perspective la plus sécuritaire et nostalgique de la dictature de son groupe politique. Ses opinions et antécédents familiaux soulèvent des préoccupations quant à son influence potentielle sur la politique argentine. Fille de militaire, négationniste assumée, elle conteste l’existence des 30k disparues, revendiquant un chiffre de 8k et défendant la théorie dite des « Deux démons » (selon laquelle les crimes commis lors de la dictature sont une réponse proportionnée aux « terroristes de gauche »)
Craintes et conséquences potentielles
Premières retombées 3 jours après l'élection : dégradation de plaques commémoratives des disparu·es, agressions homophobes et dégradation d’un bar #LGBTI+, tags «anti-gauchistes» sur l’imprimerie #Chilavert l’une des dernières entreprises récupérées et autogérées, ainsi que divers posts sur les réseaux sociaux de personnes, civiles ou militaires. Néanmoins pour le moment, La Libertad Avanza n’a aucun ancrage territorial. Ils auront du mal, au moins au départ, à gouverner le pays (l’Argentine est composée de provinces fédérées) et à faire appliquer leurs propositions Le vote Milei est le résultat du ras-le-bol général de la population et de la situation sociale. Malgré 16 années passées au pouvoir sur les 20 possibles depuis la sortie de la crise de 2001, les péronistes sont incapables de reconnaître leur responsabilité dans la situation actuelle.
Perspectives
Il y a une grande attente de la part d’une part importante de son électorat qui espère voir ses promesses se concrétiser, notamment celle de « renverser l’inflation en 2h » . Pourtant nous observons déjà certaines multinationales profiter de l’occasion pour augmenter les prix de leurs produits jusqu’à +50 %, arguant une future dérégulation du marché. Le mécontentement d’une partie de son électorat risque donc de se manifester rapidement ! Il est à craindre, surtout pour nos organisations sociales, un arrêt de toutes les subventions et aides. Cependant, une explosion sociale ne sera pas sans danger. Les menaces émanant des secteurs les plus réactionnaires de la société sont à prendre au sérieux. L’envie des militaires et de la police (environ 90% de votes pour Milei) de réprimer le mouvement social est évidente. Les politiciens de droite et d’extrême droite n’hésitent pas à encourager leurs partisans à descendre dans les rues pour empêcher par la force les mobilisations
Si la contestation sociale s’organise déjà et n’a pas l’intention de baisser les bras, un fort soutien internationaliste va aussi être très important, notamment pour faire aux attaques qui vont être portée contre le droit à l'avortement. Si l’Argentine a une forte histoire de résistance et est une société fortement politisée, il faudra suivre attentivement le déroulement de l’investiture et des manifestations le 10 décembre (beaucoup de discussions et d'initiatives sont en cours pour renforcer notre camp). Les organisations sociales sont capables d’instaurer un rapport de force important, notamment le secteur piquetero qui même s'il est déjà dans le viseur est capable d’organiser une certaine riposte, en s'alliant avec toutes les organisations défendant les droits humains et les secteurs syndicaux combatifs.

Je découvre avec de belles émotions la mini-série TV de 8 épisodes "Fellow Travelers" (issue du bouquin de Thomas Mallon) qui traite d'une période de l'histoire #LGBTI que je ne connaissais pas, la chasse aux "homos" sous le maccarthysme US des 50's. Le film va jusqu'à l'époque de celle du VIH des 80's.

No queremos retrocesos. Las actuales leyes LGBTI y trans plantean medidas concretas en ámbitos como el sanitario, educativo o laboral que son imprescindibles para que las personas LGBTI disfruten de sus derechos humanos.
¿Por qué tanta urgencia? La única modificación aceptable debe impulsar las medidas previstas en la ley LGBTI estatal y dotar de recursos suficientes las actuales leyes autonómicas, contando con las personas afectadas.

Je repasse par ici parce que j'ai récemment acheté les DVDs de la série documentaire en huit épisodes TransGeneration parce que je ne les ai pas trouvés en ligne.
Il ne m'a pas fallu longtemps avant de me dire que ça serait très pertinent pour la préservation de l'histoire trans qu'elle soit disponible à un plus grand nombre et donc je l'ai rippée, encodée dans un format moderne et mise à partager en torrent.
Si vous avez un client qui tourne quelque part, voire une seedbox, partagez-la même si le sujet ne vous touche pas (C'est un petit torrent de 2Go)
Et si ça vous intrigue, regardez-la, elle est vraiment trop bien. C'est une immersion dans les vies respectives de 4 tout jeunes adultes trans au début des années 2000, c'est à la fois passionnant et touchant.

Der Protest ging dabei vor allem von Jugendlichen aus. Sie machten dabei im Wesentlichen die wirtschaftliche Lage im Land zum Thema. Aktuell steckt Ghana in einer schweren Krise, die insbesondere durch eine hohe Staatsverschuldung ausgelöst wurde. Etwa jede:r dritte Jugendliche in Ghana ist derzeit arbeitslos.
„Der durchschnittliche Ghanaer kann sich keine drei Mahlzeiten am Tag leisten“, so ein arbeitsloser Demonstrant. Die Regierung interessiere das jedoch nicht, so der 24-Jährige im Gespräch mit Reuters. Die Proteste richteten sich jedoch nicht nur gegen ökonomische Probleme, wie die Krise oder die steigenden Lebenshaltungskosten.
Laut der Organisation “Pride Rebellion” sei auch der Kampf gegen ein #LGBTI+-feindliches Gesetz Teil der Proteste gewesen. So ist es in Ghana möglich, drei Jahre ins Gefängnis zu müssen, wenn man der Homosexualität für schuldig befunden wird. Auch der Druck auf Aktivist:innen, die sich für die Rechte homosexueller und transgeschlechtlicher Menschen einsetzen, würde zunehmen."

Versuche, das Recht auf Schwangerschaftsabbrüche einzuschränken, sind eng verwoben mit der Unterdrückung der Frau. Indem der Frau das Recht auf körperliche Selbstbestimmung genommen wird, wird sie in die Rolle der Unterdrückten, der Hausfrau und Mutter gedrängt. Frauen wird die Hausarbeit, die Kindererziehung und die Sorgearbeit auferlegt. So machen sie möglich, dass Arbeiter:innen am nächsten Tag wieder ihre Arbeit verrichten können. Indem diese Arbeit unbezahlt ist, kann der Lohn der Arbeitenden niedrig gehalten werden. Der Kapitalismus profitiert also davon, dass Frauen unterdrückt und in die Rolle der Hausfrau und Mutter gedrängt werden.
Dabei sind es nicht nur Frauen, die schwanger werden können. Auch #LGBTI+ Personen, wie etwa trans Männer oder nicht binäre Menschen sind von Einschränkungen des Abtreibungsrechts betroffen. Regelungen zu Hormontherapien und anderen medizinischen Behandlungen schränken sie ebenfalls in ihrem Recht auf körperliche Selbstbestimmung ein."

Last night I was invited as part of a group of #trans people to the Scottish Paliament/Parliamaid na h-Alba to speak with some MSPs. I came away feeling that they are really committed to making #Scotland a fairer, more equal country. It also was clear that the ones I spoke see the toxicity of the anti-trans rhetoric for what it is. I got the impression that it is firming their resolve to do what they can to make it easier for us to just live our lives. #lgbti
