In some ways, I respect the folks who wanted to make Election Day an official #Denton city holiday and wish they had been successful.
City Hall has returned to its old ways of filling #Election Day with official business. Is it so that maybe we all wouldn't notice? Or just force news outlets to split the baby.
The city council has a joint session with the school board, a work session and a regular meeting tomorrow. Anyone council member with a regular job has to take the day off tomorrow because the agendas are full of important topics, armed officers in schools, short-term rental registrations, a DCTA update (will they talk about the citizens' request for more bus routes?) and more.
