We need a language for discussing the "mind," "subjectivity," "perspective," etc., of machines that doesn't evoke consciousness, sentience, or humanness in any way. An #LLM has certain features that are only recognizable and articulable insofar as they're shared with human subjectivity. (I have lots to say about that actually...). There are no other comparable phenomena, so all we can do is "humanize" them thru descriptive vernacular. That's not good

These are literal product managers, they should know that while #LLMs are potentially useful for research, citation sourcing is literally one of the *worst* applications. Sometimes, it's very nice not to have to review an audio recording for something you want and just create a transcript. The Whisper #AI model is absolutely amazing for this. I can do so much with the Tiny and medium models. So far, I haven't needed to use the large model for my transcription needs.

It appears that #Google is going to incorporate #GenerativeAI in its #Lookout app for Android users to enable #blind people to get detailed image descriptions and queery the system to get details and ask questions. The feature is based on a model developed by Deepmind. It goes in a closed beta today with wider availability soon.
I wonder if #SeeingAI will have something similar soon.
