Further to my last, my natural #accent is #Mancunian. Like, proper Manc. As in could-be-in-Oasis Manc.

I now have more of a cultured Manc accent, as in it’s difficult to work out where I’m from other than “definitely #northern”.

There are hints of #Scouser and a bit of #Stokie, overlaid on a base of posher #Manc.

Until that is I either go home, or speak to another proper Manc. Then it automatically reverts back to natural and there’s not a shred of doubt where I’m from.

I found this info online: The Apollo had a seated capacity of around 2,700. It was built as a cinema in 1930. Dandy in the Underworld was released on this day to critical acclaim from most sections of the music press. This would be T Rex's last officially released album in Marc's lifetime. Anyway, I'm Pam, from #Crumpsall in #Manchester, I'm in my early-mid 60s and have been on the web since April 1995 when the World Wide Web was only in its infancy. I started off on #Compuserve and was a member of #Genderline Forum. Also, about the same time started doing #IRC (Internet Relay Chat), and I continued for a couple of years on Bbs.

Over the years I've worked in a Leisure Centre, for Customs & Excise, for my former college, and I volunteered at different places including LGBT Foundation in Manchester. I also wrote and designed the earliest #Mermaids websites from 1998 to 2008. They had next to no funding back then so website was very basic. Now because of health issues including arthritis and #Bursitis (and numerous other things), my campaigning and activism is online only. I retired after volunteering at #Liverpool Pride and #Manchester #Pride in summer 2023.

I love Music. Favourite genre is #Rock (but not metal) but do like other genres too in small measure. I like Politics and ramp it up a bit during UK general elections but don't support any political party (sympathetic to the peoples alliance parties). I got a GCSE and A Level in #Politics as a mature student in mylate 20s.

I also like #cat pictures and videos in moderation. And often share memes if I think they are funny, or have a good point to make.

I'm a car owner with a Fiat Panda Eco but mainly for local transportation and the odd day out in summer.

I can sometimes be moody or bluesy but not too often.

Back in 2018, the AMAR Foundation joined Iraqi-American artist Michael Rakowitz for the unveiling of the Lamassu, at The Fourth Plinth in London.

Titled 'The invisible enemy should not exist', Iraqi date syrup cans made up the Assyrian winged bull that stood at the entrance to Nineveh until 2015, when ISIS destroyed it.

With the wings of a bird, the body of a bull and the head of a human, the Lamassu is an imposing figure.

Dating back to Sumerian priests of Mesopotamia in 3100 BCE, a version of the keffiyeh was worn to distinguish honour and rank in society.

What a fucking letdown. Our CO2 monitor showed above 2000ppm - the Aatma venue guy said it never got above 800. The venue guy who's not even here - the door and bar are being run by members of the bands!

We opened the fire escape which was his mitigation, and it made bugger all difference. So we're going to sit outside with no beer until TIRS come onstage, watch their set while masked up, and leave before the headliners.

I feel crushed. #CovidIsNotOver and I thought I'd found a #Manchester venue that was taking even basic precautions, but it turns out I've been lied to again.

So there's a gig this evening (Friday) in #Manchester which I want to go and see, one of my favourite bands This Is Radio Silence supporting fun gay disco black metallers St Lucifer.

I asked the venue, Aatma, about #Covid precautions. Took a little while to get there but I've heard back from them, they do actually monitor CO2 levels which are usually low, and have contingency plans to improve ventilation if they get too high.

I'm really excited about the gig now. I'll still take a mask and my own #CO2Monitor to double check (especially after the venue which told me it was "well ventilated" and peaked around 2,800ppm CO2!), so I may still have to leave early.

For now, the possibility that there's at least one venue which recognises #CovidIsNotOver and I might be able to go to gigs again, is pretty intense!
