Reason 235 that #MassEffect two and three were great games:
No loot-mania. ME1 still suffered from it, that stupid CRPG game design to give you four billion guns, but only three that are worth keeping and the rest is just vendor trash.
ME2 and ME3 had none of that, and that was an amazing feeling.

Finally find time to play that old Mass Effect 2 that I got cheap on steam long ago. Unexpectedly enjoying it much more than Starfield. Yes the graphics are 2011 level of bland, but do the job, and story and characters are vastly superior. Nothing in Starfield dragged me into the game as much. Need to rethink if I really like Starfield as much as I thought, and what makes a good Sci-fi RPG. #starfield #masseffect
All of this audio was just...there. I think Shepard had some re-used but the rest was there already. Got Legion before anyone else.
Having the early Legion access makes a LOT of dialog more interesting.
The 'trophy bot' Anderson is referring to is Legion, whom the Salarian councilor had responded to when Legion refuted the claims that the geth could have built Sovereign.

😑 Apparently there's a new "theory" making the rounds that the protagonist of ME5 will be Shepard's kid. Questioned about the race of the PC in that case, people say that Liara will be canon.
I'll say this once. I'd rather accept Synthesis as canon than Liara LI. Now, I don't think Bioware will do that. But let's pretend for a millisecond they would. That would be my goodbye from the Mass Effect franchise.

Anyway, many prefer #Garrus, and thats entirely reasonable, but he seems a bit too much like me IRL -- not the vigilante cop shit, but the trauma response programming and capacity to go Lone Wolf (no i dont mean Lone Wolf shooters, who are alone almost never given the reinforcement of their bigotry all around them).
So one of me was enough.
This was circa Gamergate outbreak btw. So, consider the temporocultural context.
Also, those options helped me grow as a person.
I ditched Xenophobic ethnonationalist type Ashley Williams for Tali by the end of ME2.
I consider that an absolute win.
