More progress 💪 I'm liking the direction this is taking - Plenty more detail I want to add into each layer (and I might add a few more tree layers at the back too).
I'll also be testing a reflection layer - though I'm prepared to backpedal on that if it doesn't work when cut out of paper.
10 layers so far, on track to be one of the more complex shadowbox designs I've done.

We are in a Trisolar System with a planet at a certain starting point. For each pixel the planet has a different initial velocity. The rgb values are bigger the closer the planet got to the corresponding star within 70000 iteration steps.

I wanted to see water. So I opened the map on my phone, pointed at one blue lake, and drove there; the Lahontan Reservoir (Nevada).This is what I saw; a dried reservoir. Absolutely no one was around and it was eerie. I've decided not to paint there, snapped some photos, and left.
