Just finished my annual binge of #hawkeye and I enjoy it more and more every year. It is slowly climbing my rankings of #marvel #mcu #streaming #series. It's right up there with #DieHard on my list of #Christmas #movies or #television.
I liked #AntManandTheWaspQuantumania but not as much as the original #AntMan and #AntmanAndTheWasp. Apparently #ChrisHemsworth believed it was too big which aligns with statements made by #ImanVellani where she states that going bigger isn't the answer but to have smaller stakes, character driven stories which, to be fair, was what made #AntMan great in the first place.

I've started listening to @SuperSideshow #podcast. Really great premise where one guy, Mike, likes #superhero #movies but has not read their #comics counterparts, and he asks #comic fan Jarvis about how the movies align or don't align with the source material. Really great podcast if, like me, you came to comics much later in life. I learned that #DavidHasselhoff once played the part of #NickFury back in 1998.

At last, got to The Marvels with my 12 year old daughter. I enjoyed it - some of the usual MCU problems were present but I priced that in at the start. All 3 Marvels‘ performances shine through, particularly Iman Vellani who keeps bringing the joy to the screen. My daughter loved it; it’s funny; best thing ever; can’t wait till it’s out on Disney+. Everyone racing to claim the MCU is dead because of The Marvels is ignoring the fact that Marvel did next to 0 marketing during the actor's strike but still decided to launch the movie on schedule.
The Marvels was freaking delightful. I haven't had that much fun watching a movie in a while. Plenty of worse Marvel movies performed better at the box office, and that's just a shame. This movie and its amazing cast deserve plenty of fanfare.
#TheMarvels was 1000% better than I’d expected.
If you enjoy Marvel movies, you should go see it. And if, like me, you were a big fan of #CaptainMarvel and are, like I was, worried that it’s not the sequel you wanted, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

So the big rumor is that Pedro Pascal is up for the part of Reed Richards in the MCU's upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Interesting, very interesting...

#Loki is also one of the best looking shows in all of #television history, period.
The production and sound designs of both seasons are spectacular, #tv at its absolute best.
There is true #art and #artistry in #Marvel and the #MCU, as Loki, #WakandaForever, #WandaVision, and #Spiderverse clearly prove beyond all doubt or fair criticism.
That doesn't mean they're perfect.
I watched #Loki on #DisneyPlus in two separate three episode binges Saturday and Monday nights and, for me, it's among the best work and storytelling #Marvel has done across all of the #MCU.
The last episode is a perfect culmination of the storyline begun in the first season, and though it leaves some things open, it also answers so much, so well.
It may not appeal to those who are best satisfied with flash, sound, and frenetic action, but for deep character development, it does a great job.

#ImanVellani is the perfect choice to replace #KevinFeige at #Marvel one day.
She always only ever appeared as #MsMarvel, started going into the creative process by co-writing a new comic, she's a massive Marvel nerd, has the energy and the enthusiasm to really make a difference.
She is also one of the few people who not only was part of the #MCU machine, but still attends conventions as both guest and visitor and has fun doing so.
The MCU is in trouble. Some IndieWire staffers have ideas of how they can restore the franchise to its former glory, or at least make it interesting again. Let us know in the comments if you think any of their suggestions — from actually developing characters to introducing the X-Men — have legs.

A three-way crossover involving Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau switching places whenever they use their powers. Interesting idea, but the story, on top of being generally mediocre, doesn't allow them any time to let their emotions manifest and get the audience emotionally involved before hurling them into action.
My rating: 55%.
"The Marvels" was great fun! Filled with surprises. Much lighter than Captain Marvel. Better production quality than Quantumania. I hope that stays..
It wasn't just a setup for other stories. The teasing setups were pretty firmly limited to two closing scenes.
And I just like Kamala Khan. It's great to see her on the big screen! (IMAX, in fact)

One of the best things #Marvel did with #MCU is that they keep telling new (at least movie new) stories instead of rebooting every 2 or 3 movies.
Just read that Wonder Woman 3 is gonna be a reboot and that's just a shame. There are so many great stories that can be told once studios stop making the origin story film every time.

Every single Disney+ #MCU series, barring WandaVision and maybe Loki, would have been infinitely better served as a 2-hour movie. After Secret Invasion, I’m convinced something has gone wrong at Marvel Studios.
It feels like #MarvelStudios just gave up on #SecretInvasion during post-production, and edited the finale so stupid that fans don’t even want to acknowledge the mess, so it wouldn’t restrict the future stories of #MCU, e.g. G’iah being stronger than Captain Marvel.
