Zählt ein Bild vom #Bodensee auch zum #Meermittwoch ? Heißt ja auch Schwäbisches Meer. 🌊 🙂

Im unteren Drittel des Bilds ist die graue Wasseroberfläche des Bodensees zu sehen, darauf einige Stand-Up-Paddler (SUPs). Am Horizont erstreckt sich dunkelgrau und schmal die gegenüberliegende Seeseite von links nach rechts. Den Hauptteil des Bilds oben nimmt großflächig eine Gewitterwolke/-front ein, über der noch Reste von blauem Himmel zu erkennen sind.

For #MeerMittwoch this is the view from the mainland of Northern Ireland looking out across the sea to first, Raithlin Island, then Scotland in the distance. In fact, that's the famous (or infamous) Mull of Kintyre.

Raithlin Island is Northern Ireland's northernmost point, was the site of the country's first Viking raids, and was one of the places at which Robert the Bruce sought refuge.

Yesterday's photo was very recent, but today's is very old.
This one was taken in 1973, on Crete, with my very first SLR camera. It was before the days of digital cameras, or mobile phones, or even home computers, and I had only just taken my first plane flight.
Being able to post photos I took 50 years ago sometimes makes me feel quite old, but at other times the past feels like, well, just yesterday...
