"Playtime" by L'indécis is a very mellow slice of luscious instrumental jazzy #hiphop
The production is sweet and rich, these deep vibes will have you lounging.

DAY 25 A song you like by an artist no longer living
Plenty to choose from - but I'm going for someone slightly less obvious:
Guitarist FUJIOKA Mikio, or "Ko-Gami" (little god) as he was known in the Kami Band (Babymetal's backing group).
This song was off his solo album but I've chosen a live version with the Kari band.
Kari Band: Harmony X
The horribly named chiptune "Fat Ma's Death", produced in early February 1996, was my first attempt at creating something more mellow and harmonic. As noted in the song's sample text:
"PoC created this sorrow-filled song. I'm not good in making names for my songs, so "Fat Ma's Death" was only thing I could come up with! The name has nothing to do with a experience I've had!"
With its many different parts and harmonies, it was the longest and most varied song I had created so far, tracking in at 1 minute and 45 seconds before looping.
Greetings and happy #Saturday Mastofolk 👋 😀
Let's get the weekend off to the right start - chilled.
Here's Lemon Jelly with His Majesty King Raam.
Playing this song *will not* disturb or rush your waking up process. Take a ride on the catbus at your own discretion

If you're going mellow this Friday evening, put this on:
Matthew Halsall, "Changing Earth" 2019 Gondwana Records. The adjective Gondwana uses is "soulful".
Matthew Halsall - trumpet and electronics
Matt Cliffe - flute & saxophone, Maddie Herbert - harp
Liviu Gheorghe - piano
Gavin Barras - bass
Alan Taylor - drums
Jack McCarthy - percussion
Sarah N. Dippity playing with me again.
The #arpeggione has now even found its way into #jazz & #moderncreative #music: Simon Drappier plays the arpeggione within the band "Quiet Men", which features a few other not-so-usual instruments. The pairing of the arpeggione with the the #bassclarinet (and oriental #zarb for the rhythmic section) is especially soft and #mellow... Warm music for cold winter days! 🦊
