Two bodies were found in the Rio Grande buoy barrier at U.S.-Mexico border, Mexican officials say.
ABC News reports that Gov. Greg Abbott "began installing the floating barriers along portions of the Rio Grande river this summer in an effort to deter migrants from illegally crossing into the United States." The Biden administration is suing Texas over the issue.

I see the threat of the #migrants barge in #Portland becoming a burning boat (prompting memories of #Grenfell) has, perhaps surprisingly, caused the #HomeOffice to pause while they check the fire regulation compliance of their barge.
So, it seems there is some limit to the Home Office's humanity.... but I'm guessing this is more a question of finding a way to reassure inspectors all is well, rather than any real change of heart or concern for the migrants wellbeing
All across #Europe, the #HardRight and #FarRight are coalescing around a common set of repressive measures aimed at #migrants and the LGBTQI community.
