In this era of #misinformation, #disinformation, and variable #signal-to-noise ratio in the marketplace of ideas, it is especially important to get reliable information.
Of course there's no harm in "regular people" being promoted as such, but it's nice to know who people are so that their context is clear.
Indicating experts/etc might be helpful.
The only people and groups with an interest to restrict #misinformation and #disinformation research are the spreaders of mis- and disinformation. This doesn't have anything to do with "free speech" as far as I'm concerned.

I had an interesting debate with a colleague today: is it effective to use “#misinformation” strategies to propagate good information, and is it ethical to do it? Things to the tune of «#ClimateChange Denial DESTROYED with FACTS and LOGIC» (divulges science on anthropogenic CC) or «Everything the MSM is HIDING about the real #COVID RISK» (on the catastrophic short, medium and long-term damage of reinfection).
