Hab ich schon mal gesagt, dass ich vAS-Tripple hasse bzw. den ganzen Raid. Hatte so auf TTT gehofft und dann ergab die Abstimmung IR. Raidlead als Backkite ist maximal Scheiße und du fängst bei jeder Gruppe neu damit an, den Leuten die Mechaniken in den Kopf zu prügeln.
Ich mag echt nicht, aber so arschig zu sagen, ich hab meinen IR, also scheiß auf die Gruppenabstimmung, bin ich leider auch nicht.

So....I raided ICC last night for the first time!
We didn't beat all the bosses but we got up to professor putricide and wiped a few times there before going back to the Valkyrie boss (easy peasy) to finish the night. Even though we didn't finish and it was slightly stressful, I had a good time. Even got a few small upgrades for my dwarf pally.
Also, I am getting close to maxing out blacksmithing (446/450) and DAMN, it's a grindfest. But I know once I get there it'll be worth it, cause then I could spend like 2-3 hours a week and not have to pay for a WoW subscription.
Say what you want about the WoW token, but for those that prefer to play the game instead of pay the game, it's pretty useful🤣

Ya know, if WoW gameplay EVER looked as good as it's cutscenes, a metric shit ton more people would play it.
Instead, Dragonflight looks like I'm taking my kids to Disneyland. They try to convince me that there's some big bad evil thing lurking behind every corner but come on, look at the scenery. What the fuck is the evil dude doing? Spreading fertilizer and painting trees? 🤦♂️
I am a FIRM believer in "graphics aren't everything" but the world is not. You can't give us epic cutscenes of great battles and death and despair, then let me open the game to see Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in full force. It kills the immersion.

Seriously contemplating leaving all my Discord servers. People/companies are using #Discord to replace forums, and it is a shit replacement. Discord works best for small to medium-sized groups with a common purpose. #MMORPG /#VideoGame guilds and #TTRPG groups are great examples. Clubs too. But a server with hundreds of users doing Q&As is information overload. Even with the new forum function, it is just clutter. I rarely read them because it is too much to sift through. Blech.

Morning Folks! I've largely entered maintenance mode in #Diablo4 where I am just farming world bosses to get the last few ilvl 925 upgrades. Since I know I will be playing #PathOfExile hard and heavy next Friday for the Sentinel/Kalandra event I spent last night trying to ease back into #FFXIV with some success. The Duty Support system is pretty great.

Blade & Soul is a third-person martial-arts oriented MMORPG.
Originally released in 2012 in Korea, an English edition was released in 2016.
Because I'd opened the NCSoft launcher a couple of days ago for the Lineage II review, I thought I'd knock this one off as well.
It looks OK, but it's an MMORPG, which means that graphics and gameplay are pretty much just a starting point.
Graphically, it's built in Unreal Engine 4, but it doesn't have that "Fortnite" vibe that so many recent UE4 games seem to have. Gameplay seems OK.
However, to justify whether or not to start a new MMORPG becomes about more than "how does it look & play", but:
- does it have a sizeable enough playerbase that you'll be able to play through zones with other people?
- is it P2W (ie. "Pay To Win" - or spending more money on the game means you can buy your way into in-game Godhood over lower-levelled players, and gank them mercilessly)
- how many other MMORPGs are you also playing?
And:
- no
- yes
- umm, too many.
Ultimately, it doesn't offer me something different that I can't find in one of the other half-dozen MMOs that I've already started playing and lost interest in.
On top of that, I played World of Warcraft for over a decade, and burned out on both WoW and MMPRPGs.
I realised a few weeks ago that what I really missed from my WoW days wasn't the gameplay so much as the shared experience of running end-level content raids with friends, all meeting up on one night, and fighting our way through a dungeon together (specifically, Molten Core, Karazhan, Naxxramas, and Icecrown Citadel all hold dear places in my memory.
Starting a new MMO where I don't know anyone, and the only people I could raid with would be PUGs and randoms? Just not for me.
All of this together puts Blade & Soul into:

I knew I'd installed it at some stage, and had to dig through my backup drives to work out when. I got an Amazon Prime gaming code for in-game gear, and thought I might finally take a look.
It was definitely an exercise in clock-watching. The MMORPG I've played most recently was Final Fantasy XIV, and comparing the two is like chalk and cheese.
Lineage II is built in Unreal Engine 2.5 and it feels ancient. After a couple of grinding quests, I was glad to log out and uninstall it.

So....I joined a WoW WotLK Classic guild about a week ago called "Friends". Things did not go well. Spoiler alert, they definitely aren't friends.
Me and a personal friend joined this guild. Before we even did anything, I explained that I was VERY new and would need pretty much everything explained to me, in terms of raiding and gearing.
Literally the second night I was there, we ran Trial of the Crusader 10 man. It didn't go very well. It took us awhile, but the leaders were not explaining everything well AT ALL.
Then they proceeded to complain that the raid didn't go well in a later discord message.
After seeing a few more days of this, my friend decides to leave the guild while I was in the middle of a mount run with them.
This is where shit hit the fan. After he left, they proceeded to berate and belittle him in a voice chat he wasn't apart of, alongside blasting LFG chat claiming he'd only used them for gear and all this other BS.
Like how childish are you? It's a video game. Grow up.
I need to stop playing multiplayer games.🤦🏻♂️

My first #RPG was #Pathfinder in the mid-2010s. My getting in contact with it was two-fold: I became aware of #ttrpg late (in my 30s), asked in a game store how my gf and I could try and they told me of starter boxes. #PFRPG just because it was the only one available then and there.
Not much later, some #mmorpg friends started an online group (also newbies, but they had just built a simple web #vtt as a hobby project 😲) and by pure accident that was also in PF.

Currently, I enjoy #ESO as a mainstay. I will be dabbling in #DiabloIV every now and then as well, but seasonal characters aren't my thing. In the past, I have enjoyed #LooterShooter type games ala #Borderlands. Games that I can farm for loot or just anything valuable to trade to other players is really my thing.
I also LOVE lore, but my #ADHD usually prevents me from enjoying long drawn-out cutscenes.
