I’ve been enjoying #Monarch so far, but this week’s episode was a bit weak. Kentaro’s daddy issues and Empire Strikes Back cosplay were a bit dragged out.
One little detail I *loved*, though: the way Hiroshi’s subtitles fade as his voice does in one scene. Clever.
Godzilla: Minus One was absolutely great. The story is phenomenal, the effects are great, the realities and effects of war and PTSD, the similarities between honor and guilt, and several wonderful plot twists, certainly reminds me of a lot of the classic Godzilla films. Much better than the Monsterverse films (but Monarch so far is great!).
Highly recommend seeing it on the biggest screen you can. This might be the greatest Godzilla movie ever made.

It's the little things.
Here is a butterfly that I saw flittering around yesterday while the dogs were walking me. I believe that this is a Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus), which would make it the first that I've photographed. Oh, I've seen a few similar looking butterflies that I thought were monarchs but, in this case, I think it's the real deal.

I've seen a lot of folks recently posting photos of their #monarchbutterfly caterpillar enclosures and most look like the enclosures are indoors.
This is a #PSA to help get the word out (please boost!):
Indoor raised #monarchs are more likely to develop and spread disease to wild populations, AND are significantly less likely to successfully fly south for the winter.
"Being exposed to an indoor environment with artificial light, constant temperature and top choice of milkweed provided by their captors they do not develop the environmental cues needed for pre-migratory behaviors."
Please please do your part to help boost populations the way nature intended, with planting milkweed and doing what you can to protect food sources monarchs need, fully outdoors. Plant #native (to your area) nectar sources and please spread the word to others so their efforts benefit the ones we're trying to save.
