European decor bar in the historic restaurant & inn of Chalet Suzanne in Lake Wales, Florida. The historic landmark had a small air strip, orange grove and soup cannery that once made Moon Soup. Their Moon Soup was selected by NASA & the crew of Apollo 15 for their trip to the moon. Chalet Suzanne closed in 2014 after 83 years in business.

I had wanted to get a good photo of these large Banyon Tree that creates a beautiful arched canopy over the street located in Coral Gables. I had to wait a few minutes in parking lot for rain to stop. The beauty is that the rain wet road adds to the beauty of this shot which is one of my best sellers.

What I remember about Lauren Tewes is how kind she was to the low on the totem pole folks on the set, myself included. She worked as a waitress before landing her gig on Love Boat so I guess that has something to do with it.
She dealt with substance abuse issues for a long time so hopefully she's doing well now. I heard she's a chef.

As I saw this horse and carriage driver approach I saw an opportunity to capture not just a street photography shot but also a conceptual one reflecting on life's directions. As the they approach the directional arrows painted on the road of King Street in scenic Saint Augustine, a horse and carriage are at a crossroads.

While taking a break in the picnic area of the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge in south Texas I was mesmerized by the number of trees that were twisted in all directions. This is but one group of them. I need to return and see how they've grown in the past few years.

This is a picture of Godshill village, on the Isle of Wight - a place where time appears to almost stand still.
I'm really pleased with the retro feel of this shot - which looks like a black & white postcard but was, in fact, taken just last week.
If you check out the reply to this post you can see the same scene from about 100 years ago. I imagine it's looked like this for at least 150 years.
