Great Replacement Theory is the fascist spin on a very real thing that terrifies them: demographic shift.
If they don't suppress immigration and then suppress non-white voters, they're going to lose political power. White supremacy will fall.

A quotation from Russell, Bertrand:
There’s a great deal to be said for nationalism, for keeping diversity — in literature, in art, in language, and in all kinds of cultural things. But when it comes to politics, I think nationalism is an unmitigated evil. I don’t think there’s a single thing to be said in its favor.

For Yoram Hazony, the founder of the National Conservative movement, Israel is an illiberal model for the international nationalist brigade. By Suzanne Schneider
"Wherever they are, national conservatives emphasize the primacy of the family as the core political unit, the immutability of biological facts, the preservation of borders and boundaries (between countries, between genders), the goodness of national histories no matter how bloody, the need for hierarchy and order, strong militaries, and national economies tailored to serve the needs of the people, not the free market. Above all, they believe in a strong state, one willing to foist their particular understanding of virtue upon a recalcitrant public, to forcibly intervene in social relations via a combination of economic carrots and legislative sticks."

To be frank, the call for people to "Support Israel" in an unnuanced way sounds so much like the rhetoric that the warmongers used in the USA after the 9-11 attacks.
I remember those days well, and the harsh responses that peace activists faced when we spoke out in favor of more thoughtful and effective ways to respond rather than wars against third countries like Iraq.
History of course keeps repeating itself. Blind nationalism is the source of so many of the world's problems. And it is a major part of the ongoing tragedies happening in Israel and Gaza.
Mass deportation of Afghans from Iran is reaching new levels.
In the past 10 days over 23000 Afghans were deported and handed over to Taliban border control.
Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Iranian government has pushed to help or forcefully deport afghan citizens living in Iran.
Many of them have lived all their lives in iran, even second generation afghan refugees who are now being forced to leave the country, have never been to Afghanistan and were living in a limbo for up to 3 decades.
Iran doesn't allow Afghans to become Iranian citizens, no matter how long they lived in the country or they were born there.
Racism towards afghans is widespread and in most cases iranian women who marry an afghan citizen, risking to have children who will never have a birth certificate and become stateless.
Very small group of people in Iran support the rights of Afghans in the country and calls for granting citizenship to all children born in the country have gained no support and instead they are being harassed, bullied and ridiculed by both regime supporters and the opposition groups, specially the nationalists and monarchists.
The sad part is that many of the most vocal opponent of this are people with dual nationality.
It depends on what you mean be "supporting Israel."
I support the Israeli people and I support the Palestinian people.
I do NOT support the state of Israel and its inhumane way of conducting war. And I do NOT support the Hamas government and its evil war crimes either.
#Netanyahu is speeding up this process of awakening by showing his true colors by befriending outright anti-semites like Musk, as well as the Christian Nationalists in the USA such as Hagee.
I am going to give a huge disclaimer at the beginning of this post. I have heard more casual Xenophobia from white USian democrats than I am about to mention from Germans. If you mistake this post for "Oh it's so bad in Germany" then you missed the point of this post. Pot meet kettle. If that's how you feel as an American Citizen in this post, you are not the world police and you are no angel. This post is about privilege, nationalism and xenophobia. Not singling out Germany.
I was having a conversation with a Croatian coworker about her Serbian boyfriend. If you know nothing about Croatia/Serbia then think Romeo and Juliet because it's an unlikely pairing that would be culturally and familialy frowned upon. He recently had to go back to Serbia because his short stay visa expired.
She said "It isn't so easy for Serbians as it is for Americans [ To get a work-stay visa ]. Western Europe hates us."
I agreed with her because she was right. I am treated to extreme privilege even as America loses face on the world stage. People generally look at my blue eyes, blonde hair and good german and think "This bitch is German". My coworker is generally assumed to be Italian because she's overweight and brown haired and speaks slightly worse German than me. Lookism paired with Fatphobia means most people think she's Italian.
Because she's too respectable and clean to be "Eastern European".
What I generally receive as Xenophobia is "Assumed Idiocy" or people just calling me an "American Idiot". For people from eastern europe it's much worse. They are considered filthy thieves. The EU is currently pressuring Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia so the vast majority of deportations in Germany are Serbian. Do I think it's fair? No.
But Germans are also prone to look at me in awe and wonder. I am mostly treated with respect everywhere I go. I am the Immigrant and the American fantasy. A firm believer in democracy, equality and egalitarianism that is willing to integrate and respect cultures. It is the positive view of what people see America for and I am everything their Elvis and JFK flavored, rose-tinted glasses see in my country. Because of it I am granted huge privilege. Not so much as German but more so than an Eastern European or someone from say Pakistan or Palestine.
It's something of a perspective change for me upon moving to Germany. White Supremecy is suprising and absolutely appalling. There's even a scale for how white of a white person you are and I am usually scored right below your average german, even by Auslanderbehörde. My immigration agent loves me because I obey and integrate. I am not an Amerikaren and I work for a very famous restaurant. I am what Germany needs. A skilled worker that is an embodiment of everything that Germany values and requires.
I'm also white as milk.
That isn't to say that my girlishfriend wasn't mistreated today by pensioners that assumed she wasn't German because she was speaking English and I was speaking German. An act that made my blood boil but more to say that I get a great deal more leeway than people that are brown or black and because I am educated, skinny and fall under the label of "Western European Attractive" that I am awarded a place of honor I did nothing to deserve and I hate it.
I hate that I have been hired because one of my male bosses thought that I looked fuckable. That the Ausländerpolizei looked at me in awe and mysticism then turned around and treated my Serbian/Croatian coworker like she was a child. I hate every second of it but it's not something I can escape.
I'll close with this. We had some guy come to our house because they are installing Glass Fiber in our building. He was brown and so he thought we'd assume he wasn't German. My Girlishfriend said "no and you're not the only immigrant here. My girlfriend here is American." to which he replied "Oh du sprichst so gutes Deutsch" ( En: Oh you speak such good German ). He was from Jordan but still. It's not an assumption we'd make but I was still "assumed German".
Skin color isn't nationality and I'd really wish the world could get the f over this shit but we can't. So it's accept it or deny it but there is no real denying it. So I accept my privilege and try to use it to help others. It's the only answer in this situation that really helps anyone. I just wish more people could accept it and move on than gaslight others and scream and hope the problem goes away.

Don't be mad..
The point is that as soon as fear, hatred, jealousy and power worship are involved, the sense of reality becomes unhinged. And, as I have pointed out already, the sense of right and wrong becomes unhinged also. There is no crime, absolutely none, that cannot be condoned when "our" side commits it. Even if one does not deny that the crime has happened, even if one knows that it is exactly the same crime as one has condemned in some other case, even if one admits in an intellectual sense that it is unjustified -- still one cannot feel that it is wrong. Loyalty is involved, and so pity ceases to function.

"Israel-Palestine war: Israel and Hamas agree to exchange prisoners as part of four-day 'truce'
50 Israeli women and children are expected to be released, and around 150 Palestinian women and children in Israeli jails"
The agreement between the israeli government and Hamas provides for the release of 50 women and children held hostage in Gaza during a four-day pause in the fighting, in exchange for the release of around 150 Palestinian children and women held in Israel.
The stakeholders thus avoided an exchange of all captives.
You can be angry at anyone who tells you that the Israeli government chose to sacrifice the other kidnapped. If you do not push for a permanent ceasefire, you're on the side of violence, not on the side of the kidnapped and their families. Hamas responsibility is irrelevant to this discussion.
Dr. Assaf David works at The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute - מכון ון ליר בירושלים
He teaches political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He wrote on 2023-11-18 (machine-translated from Hebrew):
“Six weeks from the cursed Saturday it is already clear that the government of failure led by Netanyahu and led by the extreme right has made a strategic decision: the main objective is to injure Hamas, and along the way the Gaza sword and killed many thousands of uninvolved. The secondary goal is to return the babies and children, women, elderly, officers and female soldiers from the basements and tunnels in the southern strip.
The meaning of this strategy is twofold: first, complete abandonment of the abducted male citizens, and next to the captives men and women of the army, to murder, to torture, to disappear between the ruins of Gaza or to long sufferings in captivity without an expiration date. Second, the abandonment of the group of women and children kidnapped to Hamas's sickening games: the murder and disappearance of some of them, and the release of the other part at large ranges and with assurance of Russian life. Al-Kassam spokesperson's message this evening about "losing contact with some of the prisoner guard squads" is just a taste of what to expect.
Anyone who calls for the continuation of the fighting in Gaza is actually supporting these horror scenarios. Anyone who recites proverbs about the importance of releasing the hostages and does not understand that the meaning must be a long ceasefire actually supports these horror scenarios.
It's fucked up, it's frustrating, it's unbearable, but it's the reality. Nearly 240 kidnapped and prisoners that Hamas, other organizations and Iranian civilians have laid hands on are an equal breaker in this war. Disgusting but that's how it is. Security experts and negotiation experts with decades of experience said from day one: All against all. Empty the jails in Israel from Palestinians in exchange for all the kidnapped, prisoners and bodies held in Gaza. This is the lowest price we will pay for them, and it will go up daily.
Unless, of course, you believe in the far right and the paralyzed government, and support the strategy of the person in charge, that he will do everything he can to continue the war that will extend his reign. In such a case you have already decided, and you just don't like telling everyone, to destroy Gaza and eliminate everything possible from Hamas until you have to leave, worth the lives of the kidnapped and prisoners. In such a case, you are simply a continuation of the threatening failure that brought us here.
Everything that can be done to Hamas (within the limits of reality) and we still haven't done will have to wait. If we do not return them all immediately we are not worthy of the title of a state. Wish for yourself that you will never have to be in a situation where your children or loved ones are kidnapped into some hole and you are forced to look at the horror in your country, and in a large part of your society, sacrifices them without hesitation in exchange for dubious military achievements that could have been achieved later by military means or in combination with the exercise of force and correct policies.
This is a valuable decision. Stand behind it. They said: We hope to be able to eliminate Hamas, and we understand that the meaning is to give up the hostages and captives. Don't lie. And after that pray hard that next time the roulette of terror will not visit you. Because if it happens, you are alone.”
