An out of focus long slender shape that could be a flower bud on a stalk with its shadow.

These tiny sculpin can be tricky to photograph as they quickly "hop" around looking for cover and face different directions. Even when you get one, they're usually nestled in some cover and they are camouflaged to look just like their surroundings. For this one, I decided to go a little artsy and make the background black and white so the sculpin's natural colors pop out.

Also, to persistently keep your Find query or its results, e.g. to survive the next app restart, you can save your query to the SmartFolders, or the Found Items into an album.

Two San Diego Lifeguard trucks on Pacific Beach

The #Olympus (now #OMSystem ) smartphone app is called #OIShare & it’s so incredibly bad. It often takes me 4 or more cycles of turning wifi on/off to get it to connect, the Geotagging setting CONSTANTLY turns itself off, the remote control feature has never worked for me & the difficulty connecting means taking out the SD card & connecting it to my phone/laptop is way way faster & less frustrating. #Panasonic & #FujiFilm apps work way better for me - and they're nothing to write home about.

I don’t need any wild shutter speeds or video capabilities.

Clean low-light and long-exposure shots are important.

Resolution-wise, I need to be able to make high quality 11x17 prints.

I’m most comfortable with Nikon and #Olympus but not married to any brand.

I LOVE the #design of the #Nikon Zfc, but do worry that the lack of a grip could be a problem.

I lean towards the practicality of an older camera and more lenses.

It’s time to get a decent interchangeable lens camera again.

My budget is around $1000, but I could wait a few months and save up more for a truly amazing upgrade.

The problem is that I can’t decide if I want to…

A. Get a recent entry-level / prosumer DSLR or mirrorless camera (likely used) with a basic prime and macro lens.

B. Get an older pro-level camera and several lenses. All used, but likely high quality due to their initial expense.
