While I understand the purpose of watermarks, they are off putting. Even when they are small & off to the side they diminish the integrity of the photo to me, so much so that the ‘better’ the photo appears in overall appeal, the watermark never fails to make me think something is overdone & highly filtered (even if it’s not). A step worse-when the watermark is done in an artistic style, its as if the mark is competing w/the photo.
In a world where things are commonly stolen & photography is someone’s livelihood, there is a need. I just wish there was a better answer. #opinion #photography

Mi opinión es que la principal causa de la falta de rentabilidad de la agricultura y ganadería familiar es la práctica imposibilidad de la venta directa de productos agropecuarios a pequeña escala por trabas administrativas y sanitarias, impuestas por presiones (y/o maletines) de las multinacionales agroalimentarias. Las amenazas de aplicar delitos contra la salud pública son muy efectivos para cerrar.

Nordhaus is an economist who wrote papers in the 80s to trivialize the consequence of climate change. He is allied with other individuals that worked to spread corporate disinformation on tobacco, CFCs, and acid rain. His papers provided policy legitimatization to ignore climate change. Koch is more widely known for his own activities, and has sponsored science denial. The result is climate crisis.

Twitter can dress it up anyway it likes (and it likes saying it's doing it because authenticator apps and hardware keys are more secure) but removing SMS-based 2FA from most all of its users, the 300K Blue subscribers apart, is a dumb, dumb, idea. It actually makes security worse for all as most won't think "I must use that authenticator app I never wanted to before" or "OK, I'll pay for a hardware key now" but rather won't use *any* 2FA. The real reason has to be financial - if it was really all about security why let your paying customers keep using it?
And, yes, I know I'm popping my head above the parapets on this one, but meh.

Nostalgia is a funny thing. I constantly hear from the generation of my parents that we don't know how to have fun. That cellphones and technology have made us more distant and socially awkward.
All I ever had to say in response is that fun is relative. I certainly had lots of fun when i was growing up and I have lots of fun now. They're projecting their own notions of fun and their own nostalgia onto others.
