Nach Sichtung bestehender Flyer (Flyer I) und dem Erarbeiten eines Flyer-Konzepts (Flyer II) sollen nun drei Flyer konkret umgesetzt werden (Flyer III):
Unsere Mission ist es, umfassende Aufklärung über Bi+ sexuelle Identitäten zu fördern und ein Mittel zur Informationsverbreitung zu schaffen.
Aus diesem Grund veranstalten wir einen interaktiven Online-Workshop, in dem wir gemeinsam einen ansprechenden und sachlichen Flyer über Bi+Sexualität gestalten werden.
Im Laufe der Jahre haben wir bereits die Grundlagen gelegt, indem wir bestehende Flyer analysiert und ein Konzept entwickelt haben. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, dieses Konzept in die Tat umzusetzen. Gemeinsam werden wir den Inhalt des Flyers erarbeiten und sicherstellen, dass wichtige Aspekte der Bi+Sexualität angemessen vermittelt werden.
Der Workshop bietet den Teilnehmenden die Möglichkeit, in Gruppenarbeit Ideen auszutauschen, Konzepte zu entwickeln und letztendlich den Flyer zu gestalten. Dadurch fördern wir kreative Zusammenarbeit und verschiedene Perspektiven.
Wir laden euch herzlich ein, am 18. September 2023 um 18:00 Uhr an diesem Workshop teilzunehmen.

Besuch der immersiven Ausstellung über die bisexuelle Frida Kahlo:
Wir besuchen gemeinsam die Ausstellung der mexikanischen bi+ Malerin mit Behinderung Frida Kahlo de Rivera. Die Bilder werden mit Projektoren auf die Wände und den Boden gestrahlt und so zum Leben erweckt.
Wir werden uns auch mit kritischen Punkten der Malerin auseinandersetzen.

Photo I took from my desk. It's a page of my sketchbook, opened. The drawing, made with black pen, portrait a satyr (or faun) with a pair of goat horns in his head, as expected. He's shirtless and you can see his bearded face, hairy torso and the beginning of the thick fur from his goat legs. He's brunette, attractive, and is laying on a field of grass and flowers, with his left arm raised, almost behind his head, in a sensual way, and subtlety looking to the observer.

It's a page of a sketchbook, but this time time the page is lemon-green colored.

Es soll ein mutiges und zugleich sensibles Spiel mit Gender werden, und wir werden versuchen, einen Space zu kreieren, in dem sich alle sicher genug fühlen, soweit zu gehen, wie sie möchten. Das bedeutet auch, es wird keine Diskriminierung jeglicher Art toleriert und gerade in diesen Zeiten – vorausgesetzt, dass alle solidarisch mit ihren queeren und trans* Mitteilnehmenden sind. Respect, or being respectable. My opinion is that some believe that being LGBTQ+ is debasing. That there is no honor, or that it is not respectable.

It has taken me a while to put this into words.

It was something that I've "feared." When I was young, I feared that I'd find my life partner and "zing," but then I would lose them because I wasn't straight enough, or gay enough, or because of my past experiences. In reality, if they could not accept this, they weren't meant to be my life partner. It is hard to not grasp at any acceptance, affection, after (to me) so much rejection.

I'm Tobleh, I'm a Canadian of Filipino heritage, and I'm from the GTA in 🇨🇦.

I'm a guy (cis), #pan romantic, #asexual / #demisexual.

my name is Delta, i'm 24 and i'm a german who lives in the uk.

my pronouns in english are ve/ver/vis. xe/xem/xyr, ne/nem/nir, ze/hir, fae/faer or ae/aer are also ok, but ve/ver/vis is preferred.

i'm #maverique and #xenogender. maverique means that my gender is disconnected from manhood and womanhood without being agender or neutral; i still have a distinct gendered feeling. in my case, it also means being disconnected from masculinity and femininity. xenogender means that i have many genders based on things that society would not usually associate with gender, in my case those genders relate to space, certain aesthetics, music, fictional characters or media. i experience my xenogenders only partially and they fluctuate in intensity. i'm #trans and i don't use a suffix but if i had to use one i'd be transmaverine. i also sometimes call myself ftx or ftmv (no, this is not referring to my sex or my agab).

i'm a #quoiromantic #asexual, meaning i'm ace without a romantic orientation.

i call myself #omni, #pan and #bi pretty much interchangeably, specifically without a suffix because i refuse to define my attraction any further than not romantic and not sexual. i'm also grey for an undefinable kind of attraction.

i call myself #gay because my attraction to all genders feels gay (in the diamoric sense, not in the same/similar gender sense). i use some other diamoric labels too, such as trixic, toric and cypric.

i'm #otherkin, specifically a soong-type android.

i'm #fat. that's all i can say to that.

i'm #autikinetic (or #audhd but i prefer autikinetic), #borderline, traumatised from my childhood as a whole and a specific event, phobic of social interaction, fire and crossing streets and i have dermatillomania; read: i am very #neurodivergent.

i am hard of sight. my vision in my better eye is 30% and in my worse eye it's 10%.

i love listening to podcasts and audiobooks, #StarTrek, language, gaming and learning about people's identities.

i have my own #podcast called misfit media in which i talk about queerness, #disability and more.

I sometimes struggle with my #MentalHealth ; I suffer from an #anxiety disorder, as well as #cPTSD , and I’m a #CSASurvivor .

I have a #ChronicPain condition from a slight spinal stenosis (L4-L5) This sometimes can limit my mobility.

I'm overdue for an #introduction, especially with all you new followers…so here goes.

I'm a software engineer with a degree in Anthropology. I highly recommend the combo.

Most recently I was tech lead for Scaled Human Review at Meta. I worked in the Integrity Foundation (what other companies call "Trust and Safety") on Better Engineering initiatives and #Metaverse integration, with the teams that build human review software for the 30-40K external reviewers. I'd sworn I’d never work at Facebook, but I decided to see if I could make a difference. I couldn’t. And it wasn't a good fit for either of us. But I learned a lot about how the sausages are made and why they have such a hard time with #contentmoderation.

I've been on #socialmedia for four decades (seriously, I saw someone catfished in chat in 1978—this stuff isn't new), and virtually everyone I know I met online somewhere—many I've still never met in person. Needless to say, that's made me pretty passionate about making online communities safe for everyone, and especially marginalized groups.

I'm now a freelance #consultant, working on my own projects (I'll write more on that later), and with my wife's #consulting company (see below). I'm planning to do a lot more writing about #society and #technology (as well some #SFF), and to travel more.

I tend to write long posts (like this one). They may get shorter once my blog is back up. I don't stick to one topic, but I'll try to tag them so you can filter. I post about tech stuff (recent, as well as old geeky #Unix stuff), #social issues, #LGBTQ issues (especially the T), pretty #photos, and random personal anecdotes. When I boost, it's because I think it's something that might be interesting to someone, or some group, that follows me. Those tend to include all the above topics, plus SF&F-related things, and cool science stuff.

I'm #pan, #poly, #nonbinary (or #genderqueer, if you prefer). I prefer "they" for pronouns, but "he" is fine. I spent most of my life thinking I really was a straight cis man who just happened to be a bit quirky and a passionate and tearful ally, so I'm not too picky about how you refer to me. I'm also more than happy to answer any questions about all that, public or private.

I grew up mostly in #Maine and then lived in Massachusetts for a long time, but I now live on sovereign #Swinomish land in #WashingtonState (US), on the edge of the San Juan islands. Despite my first name (that's a story) and current location, I'm not Native American, although I focus a lot on Native American rights. My parents were both active in that area, and that was my introduction to civil rights in general.

I've been a #software engineer at various levels (from programmer to CTO to company founder) for 40+ years. I learned BASIC in high school, taught myself Pascal, FORTRAN and PL/1 in college, learned C as an intern at Bell Labs (Murray Hill, one floor up from the Unix crew), and went on from there. In college, I majored in #Anthropology with a concentration in #Psychology, and that's influenced the way I look at software ever since. Software is designed for people. Software systems build communities (whether intended or not). Anyone who does that damn well better understand how people and #communities work.

I've worked for Bell Labs (psych stats), Sperry Research (window systems, UX design), Apollo/HP (programmable shell, windowing systems, Unix porting, UX design), Bright Ideas (cookbook, educational games), OSF (windowing standards), Alfalfa (multimedia email - SMTP *and* X.400 :)), Wildfire (phone-based voice assistant), Utopia/USWeb (web and security consulting), Saroca (small boats), Messagefire (anti- #spam software), MessageGate (corporate compliance software), Somewhere (software consulting), ZeeVee (web video aggregation, metadata scraping), TiVo (video content correlation, #metadata pipelines), and Meta. Plus a few others.

I've been with my wife, Dr. Mollie Pepper, for over a decade. She's a #sociologist with a focus on #refugee migration, #gender, and violence; the kind of work that gives you PTSD. She did her dissertation on women's roles in the (now extremely defunct) peace process in #Myanmar (aka #Burma). A year ago she was at a military base frantically processing thousands of Afghan refugees and managing translators. Everything I know about #feminism, #intersectionality, #queer theory, #CRT, and #racism I either learned from her, or she gave me the theoretical underpinnings to understand them properly.

I have two grown daughters from my first marriage with Nassim Fotouhi; a kick-ass software engineer/engineering manager who came to the States just before the Iranian revolution.

Shadi Fotouhi is an artist (see my profile background photo, go look up the drug codes and compare them to the mermaids' behavior) turned software engineer; building dynamic room installations will do that to you. She worked in QA at a gaming company, and then at Jibo; a robotics startup. Now she's a senior software engineer at Wayfair--Kubernetes, release configuration, and all that fun stuff.

Shireen Hinckley is a documentarian, digital image technician, video editor, and co-founder of Somewhere Films (https://www.somewherefilms.com/shireen-hinckley); a womxn's filmmaking collective. She works for #Beyoncé at Parkwood Entertainment, where she's an editor and post-production supervisor for all of their video releases. She worked on "Black is King" and just about every video since then, whether it's for Instagram, Times Square, Tiffany's, the Oscars, or Chloe x Halle. No, I can't tell you when the Renaissance visual album will be out—but it will be amazing.

I'm incredibly honored to have those wonderful women in my life. I wouldn't be who I am without them.

A couple other things that may come up, especially in my photos. My mother is an artist who lives in Maine in a round house she designed, and the family built, when I was in high school. And I'm part owner of a #lighthouse on Cape Cod.

Multisexual lesbians, or mspec (on the multisexual spectrum which includes bi, pan, omni, ply, & more) are simply people who experience queer attraction to women and also experience attraction to more than one gender. Since we're not TERFs around here, we get that there are basically infinite gender possibilities, so that shouldn't really blow your mind or make you angry (2% of the poll above). And if you're saying "THEY DON'T EXIST" (3%), then you're already on the TERF train to fascism town. That's eliminationist rhetoric.

Mspec was kind of an unfortunate choice for an abbreviation because the counterpart is monosexual. Monosexuality, like heterosexuality and being cisgender, are the default in USian society. Some people negatively purely out of that kneejerk "I'm not straight I'm normal" reaction, but those folks get over it pretty quickly. There are also people out there who react with frothing, irrational, sometimes verging on violent rage at the concept of lesbians not necessarily being monosexual.

"Let women have this one thing," they say, and "You're going to make men think they have a chance with lesbians, which results in harassment." Sometimes they say "you're invalidating me." If you've paid any attention to TERFs and homophobes (but I repeat myself) then you'll see similarities between them and these exclusionary LGBT gatekeepers, often called exclus for short. Trans women are said to invalidate the womanhood of cis women just by existing. Trans women are going to allow men access to lesbians, resulting in harassment. Etc. But just like trans women have been there, not just in but building and shaping lesbian culture, so too have multisexual queers. Some of us are lesbians, get used to it. (I'm not, but some are. I am a dyke though.)

There is actually a lot more to say, about how the policing of the borders of womanhood is always an exercise in white supremacy because the dominant model of gender was devised by white supremacists who thought that the delineation of gender roles according to binary sex was a feature of superior, complex civilization. But since I accidentally erased ~1000 words before, I'll leave it for another time.
