Honestly, after a whole game of earning cool Jedi powers, being forced to use an entirely *different character* without those powers you spent the whole game learning, to fight Darth Vader is a pretty annoying let-down.

Sometimes, Pips may become distressed due to the awful events they may witness around the village. DIstressed Pips can still work, but they'll be quite nervous and will generate a small amount of fear daily! Better find a cure soon.
Some weekends you get a lot done, some very little. I like both kinds. Most of today was the latter, just hanging with the wife watching Netflix and playing Wizorb. I'll probably dream in brick breaking. ๐คฃ Switching it up tonight with Diablo Immortal, which I can just never quit. I still blows my mind that this S21 can handle a game like this. Pretty detailed and CPU-intensive. I find it crazy fun. I've deleted most games off my phone but Immortal is a must, at, least for me. One of the most wild mobile experiences around (and it's also free on PC).

Of the official maps in the game, we have two made by Dario Casali. Those are dcdm5 and p_se_3. The rest are modified versions of the original id software maps - specifically the โmost popularโ official ones of the time. You got dm2, dm3, dm4, dm6 and e1m2.
dcdm5 is a port of dcdm5a[1], a map Casali made for Quake and released on the 3rd February, 1997. The original was created in three days and was - unlike his previous DM levels - optimized for performance. The other levels had a much longer compile time and higher system requirements - but this one he made sure people would be able to play and enjoy when it released. Focus is put on the item placement: the level is designed for people to fight their way to the high-ground to take out those people below grabbing weapons (which only spawn on those lower levels). Out of his stand-alone DM levels, I can definitely see why they picked this one for inclusion.
p_se_3 is a port of one of the Prodigy Special Edition maps of the same file name. Itโs actual title though is Venom. PSE was an episode that Casali released on the 3rd May 1997. Casali indicated in the readme that the DM game-play was excellent on this one compared to the other maps in the episode. As far as I can tell, thereโs no gimmick here - just a solid conversion of the original (albeit with the half-underwater setting removed)
Personally, Venom doesnโt flow as well as dcdm5 does. Iโve played both quite a lot in the past (DMC versions anyway) but Iโd be interested in rediscovering the originals and do a deeper dive into the other Casali dcdm levels.

Just finished Golden Treasure: The Great Green. One ending, anyway. That was a very good game. If you like story and development in RPGs, you should play it. Thanks to @garius for recommending it a while back, or I'd never have found it.

Just fired up "Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne" for the first time in what must be nearly 20 years.
Technologically-speaking, it definitely shows its age (can't even get it running at my screen's native resolution), but it remains one of the most atmospheric games I've played.
Great use of graphic novel-style screens instead of cut scenes, and the in-game TV shows are worth the price of admission by themselves.
Always nice when nostalgia proves warranted.

I still have to unlock the next zone to progress, which costs 15,000 Dreamlight and I currently have, uh... 1,500. So it might be a bit.

I finally got Pillars of Eternity 2 running on my machine after having to reinstall it multiple times (:shrug:), and it's a pretty fun game with a really interesting fantasy archipelago setting. Beautiful looking and a rich world environment.
Now if I'd stop getting into fights with enemies well above my level, I'd be fine. :)

Just finished Figment, a super cute puzzler from Bedtime Games. This one spans all ages, and is a feelgood play, even when it hits some surprisingly serious notes. Looking forward to playing the sequel!

OK @feliciaday, curator of quality internet stuff, has sold me on Pentiment, an historical adventure game done in a medieval manuscript art style.
My garden defense game, Pest Control, is only one away from the fabled *10 Steam reviews*. I don't actually know what happens at 10, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
Pest Control is free, fast, and fun! It's a cute game with @kenney assets, a cranky alien grandpa, and music I composed myself. Give it a spin, and tell Steam what you think! (Also, there's already a couple negative reviews, so like, no pressure to be positive. How will I get better if you don't tell me what you really think?)
Even if you assume that #DeathStranding isn't for you: The first ~60 minutes have been the most engaging and thrilling I've ever had in a game. The staging and world design are top notch. ๐

If you're looking for a cozy game I highly recommend Polyville Canyon on Steam. It was made buy one person and they're only charging $2 with no intent to ever raise the price. It's easily worth at least $10 a pop.
It's a relaxing, casual, city builder for when you're not in the Cities Skylines mindset.
