這張是用 uni-ball eye 0.5mm 畫的，差不多進行了半小時，主要是研究一下細節，我很喜歡這種直液筆。
以前跑TRPG 跑多了以後，劇本都跑光了，所以我會用一種輔助的角色去玩，常常會幫 Keeper 打下手，扮演 NPC, 或是一個玩家的間諜角色。這樣除了幫其他玩家找新的樂趣以外，還可以把時間放在書寫/繪畫記錄上。

紀錄上，最常用的除了飛龍牌自動筆外，就是這隻筆了。遊戲一場三小時左右，畫畫的時間也破碎，所以內容粗糙、難登大雅之堂，但是那些是我的故事紀錄，我每一張都很喜歡。

This has been a tough weekend. Work, SiWC, oodles of schoolwork for the Master's degree, one of our cat's had an abscess, and I'm just generally exhausted. lol. Wheee.

So yesterday and today's work got folded into one.

I'm really happy with the outcome, though. I knew I wanted to do a squirrel as soon as I saw the prompt "Scratchy," and for some reason the chain came about as a really appropriate piece of all this.

My main interests are written communication, teaching writing, and education, particularly as they relate to productive disagreement explored in various contexts: rhetoric, organizational & workplace communication, organizational learning, training, research, emergent strategy, coalition work, and facilitation.

I just recently got into the world of #Pen's and wish I had gotten into it sooner. A primer:

🖊️ #BallpointPen: The ones you see everywhere. You need to push pretty hard to write. Tiring to use. Cost: free
✒️ #FountainPen: ink flows down a fancy pen nib onto your page. Almost zero pressure required, but is finicky about the angle you hold it. Cost: ~$20 (refills cheap)
🖊️ #Rollerball pen: Ballpoint convenience, fountain pen ink, requires less pressure to write. Cost: ~$2 (refills pricier)

Ages ago I tried sketching directly with a #pen - it was a super interesting (and difficult, for me) exercise, but then I started focusing on #pencils and limited colour palettes...

✡️ Today's Jew of the Day is László Bíró!

László Bíró was the inventor who perfected the ballpoint pen and made it a viable commercial product. While fountain pens and quill pens are popular, they require a good deal of finesse from their writers. A ballpoint pen had been invented, but its design was essentially a fountain pen with a ball instead of a nib.

Bíró refined the end of the pen, making it narrower, keeping the ball from moving and creating a largely air tight seal. This gave his pen properties of writing fast, not smudging, and, due to its use of capillary action to supply ink, largely not skipping either.

In much of the world, a ballpoint pen is called a biro.

According to the current list of #bannedbooks as collected by #PEN, the Frisco Independent School District in #Texas has apparently banned #TheLordOfTheRings and #TheHobbit by #JRRTolkien.

It’s a mind boggling assembly of works and authors on this list. Aside from brilliant fiction like Tolkien and @neilhimself, the list includes names like #StephenHawking or #MartinLutherKingJr.

Truly, the list is an astonishing monument to willful ignorance, perfidy and malice.
