So when he suffered from edema, legend says he tried to dry himself out by laying under a pile of dung & promptly died of dehydration.

What is the simplest example of understanding? I’m thinking of learning to read - originally you might learn how to pronounce whole words, but at some point, you’ll realize (insight?) that the letters have individual meaning and you’ll then be able to read new words that you haven’t previously learned by heart. But that’s not a simple example… is there anything simpler? Ideally that non-humans do?
