My take is that #Nix lands in a sweet spot where you're able to keep everything functional and just bridges in and out that have actual control flows. I'm working on proving this by using #Terranix. But I'm also a bit of a fanboy at this time.

Does #SRE and #PlatformEngineering overlap? It's not clear to me if they do. I'm heading to #SREcon you in SJC and I'm curious what people here expect as an answer. Lately, SRE has seemed very observability and triage focused.

Help! What do you name your internal services environment?
I'm trying to name stuff that as an SRE/DevOps I'd consider Production, just it's an internal service. But calling it Prod is driving everyone else crazy because to them that's our customer-facing services.
For example, our VPN is a critical service that staff use to access things. It's Prod to me cause I need to manage for availability + reliability etc

@nova This is very very cool. I spent a long time in my previous platform engineering role fighting with systemd vs k8s in multi-tenancy.

Lately I have been exploring some ideas on building a "release monitoring tool" leveraging github.com/updatecli/updatecli.
Technically speaking, we could monitor more than releases but my intent is to be better understand the stability of some of the projects I am working on so Feel free to DM, if this topic interests you too.
