People talk about how the Pokémon (the creatures) 3D models from modern #Pokemon games look desaturated; a fact that made me wonder.
Recently, I played #PokemonEmerald again, and most of its pokémon sprites felt somewhat disappointing to me. Sure, there was a huge technological leap with all the colours, but most of the sprites looked so... Pale, overall.
Paler than those sprites from the second, fourth or fifth generation. Not all of them, sure, but definitely a non-negligible amount of them.

I've been on sick leave since Tuesday.
Not needing to go to work and just lie in bed all day resting, I did what any sane person would do and just played Pokémon all day.
I'm one Pokémon away from fully completing the Paldean Pokedex.
First time in my LIFE have I ever tasted victory this close. Last time I got this close was with Pokémon Blue where I got 144 out of 151 by utilizing glitches.

Pokemon Polished Crystal is crazy good, I wish official remasters could be like this.
It's still a Game Boy Color game, and somehow it's still only 2MB, but it has:
- Tons more pokemon
- per-pokemon menu sprites (!!)
- Phys/Special Split
- instant text, running shoes, auto advance text and dozens of more QOL fixes
- Modern "what's this move" info boxes
- Tons more music and some unique content (lyra is your friend-rival)
