The #shooters start their nights buying a case of beer. They drink all night and drive around paddocks, then to a processing plant, up to 150km away in our area, along highways used by #human #families.
At foot joeys that escape are left to starve to death. In pouch joeys are killed as described above.
Single #shot kills are rare. An animal that hasn't been killed by a single shot is often #butchered in the field, still alive.. The joeys can hear that happening. A single shot is what is required under the code of #practice governing their behaviour.
I finished splicing my #neon #QR #code today and IT WORKS! Admittedly it isn't instant and I think I will try straightening up some of the doublebacks to get the lines closer together. My splices have also improved in accuracy and fanciness so I might touch up a few lines to make the #scan more #instantaneous when pumped with #argon gas.

A really great article about society ignoring abstract thinkers. Reminds me of Mike Cooley's book, Architect or Bee? (2016). He argued that the renaissance thinking required for innovation is prevented in modern work organizations, as #design & planning tasks are separated from operations & #practice tasks in the division of labor (enforced by professional vs. clerical/operational roles). Decided to switch up yesterday from the feather and fan pattern over to a trellis pattern. Only thing is that mine doesn’t seem to have the same amount of definition as the one in the pattern picture. Pretty sure it’s just the difference in yarn from mine to hers. But then not sure if I want to carry on with it or go back to a wider feather and fan one. 🤔
